Formula MC and Matchbook Tissue

I ruined an expensive coated lens with this product. Despite the claims of streak free cleaning without residue, this dried on contact, even with the lens and room temperature, leaving streaks faster than it could be wiped off. All advice is to use a "one wipe" technique, which simply isn't possible. No number of wipes could save it. I will have to seek out reagent grade acetone or some other cleaning solution to repair the damage. I needed to remove one fingerprint, which I now wish I had left well enough alone as my lens is now a $9000 door stop.

I want to start off by saying that this seller is phenomenal . Why ? The shipping speed was really quick. I ordered only one of the product for a low price and was amazed that it was so well packaged. The cleaning fluid does exactly as advertised if not better. I recently purchased a whole bunch of 2nd hand lenses off ebay and as anticipated they had lots of smudges and dust on them. The supplied tissue and fluid really worked well , no streaks , no scratches just a clean lens.. (I did however use a dust blower prior to cleaning to avoid scratches). I most certainly will order again and have highly recommended this item to friends and family.

Works just as advertised. Previously I tried to use a cheap cleaner that came in a package deal with the camera, but it was so bad I thought that I had ruined the lens. The other cheap cleaner turned the lens bluish, Formula MC does not. This cleaner works fast and leaves no residue on the lens. If you are going to spend the money on an expensive Multi-coated Lens, then you need a cleaner specificly made to clean a multi-coated lens.

I bought this cleaner to work on new multicoated filters and lenses I had. Cheap photo store cleaners left smudges, but this one works great. One hint- do it one time using a tissue and Formula MC. Breathe on the lens and clean a second time and it will be spotless.

This optical cleaner is excellent for multi coated filters. Thoroughly cleans the glass leaving no smudges or residue. Every photographer should carry a bottle.

I worked in camera stores for over 27 years and the Formula MC cleaner from Peca Products was the best cleaning solution I found in all that time. I was also a pro photographer for over 20 years and once I discovered this Formula MC I used it exclusively and never had a problem. One reason is it's zero residue.Do this test. Take the lens cleaner you're using now and place a few drops onto a piece of glass and let it dry. See a ring? That's residue you don't want on your lens.
