Are these made from Wild Blueberries or regular?

Good afternoon, you are right indeed. Blueberries we use are "wild" variety, meaning they are smaller in size but on other hand, more potent in its nutritional values and health benefits (ORAC and antioxidant values) comparing to cultivated (large ones). Does this provide the same nutritional benefits as in fresh blueberries?

Freeze-drying is currently the best and commercialy available way to preserve the nutritional goodnes of wild blueberries (or any other fruit or foods for that matter). Fruit, vitamins, enzymes and minerals are not exposed to high heat, cooking, or anything what could compromise its values. Simply are deep frozen (which is just preserving them) and then water is taken out under vacuum. There have been studies to show you can get the benefit on average about 90% like eating fresh fruit. But without any mess, rotting or spoilage...and all year round. So yes, the benefits are almost the same like eating fresh wild blueberries, but much more convenient.

Hello there, to explain: fruit comes from Canada (deep frozen as IQF), then its shipped, processed and dried in EU and finally packed in Slovakia (thats where our facility is). Have a fantastic day.

I know these are the wild variety but does it also mean they are picked from the wild, are uncultivated or unsprayed with chemicals?

Hello there, we process "wild" variety, but of course it grows in controlled environment! In todays world no prodcer can walk to forest and just harvest "wild" berries even if it sounds so authentic. There are very strict rules and regulations and maybe these berries could be unsprayed, but there could be different dangerous substances and food legislation is very strict about any contaminants and residues. So, we control whole process but of course, berries do not grow wildly on the hills. Still, they are packed with antioxidants as opposit to their "cultivated" variety which are bigger and typically sold in supermarkets.
