I believe you meant the outer ring or pulley ring that the serpentine belt rides on. It's not typically used for applications where torque or radial forces are applied. It's used most often for cylinder sleeve installation or other sleeve type applications or when one needs a thread lock that is beyond red level thread lock. I've seen repairs for the outer ring on harmonic balancers being made with epoxy like binary adhesion compounds, i.e. JB Weld

What is required to disassemble the parts? Is heat required?
