Sony 8 GB PRO-HG Duo HX Memory Stick MSHX8B (Black)

I needed a new memory stick after not really having to get another one for quite a while (a couple of years) after using the original that came with my camera. I found this one and read the reviews and figured I'd check it out. It is an authentic Sony memory stick for my camera and works great. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I would definitely purchase another one for such a great price and fast delivery.

I have a Sony pro duo camera which a couple years ago I couldn’t find SD cards to work in it for less than $50 & I almost got rid of my camera but just deleted a bunch of pictures from my old cards. I tested this SD card & it works great. I am very happy because my camera takes awesome pictures & videos.

I bought this card 1 month ago for my PSP. Transferring files from PC to PSP does not seem any faster than my old 1gb Sony pro DUO (non HG or HX). Saving and loading games feels like the exact same speed compared to my old card as well. Overall, if this card is faster you probably won't notice. I am very happy with the price though =) This is also a legit Sony card, there are lots of fakes on the market. The storage capacity is very close to 8g and I haven't had any corrupt files (file corruption is a sure fire sign of a fake card). As for playing downloaded games, it can be frustrating. Final Fantasy 7 crashed on me one time (RPG players know how terrible it is when a game crashes far away from a savepoint). Furthermore, on 3 occasions all the in game text turned into a mushy distortion of colors. The glitches seem to occur after 30 minutes of gameplay, be sure to save often! lol I mainly use my PSP for music; I haven't experienced any real problems but sometimes the first few seconds of a song will play a strange fuzzy static. Not a big deal.

These cards are getting fairly hard to get. I needed a spare card with extra capacity after being added at the 11th hour to the media roster for a major sporting event and decided to pull out my trusty, familiar, old Sony Alpha a100 DSLR and the beautiful old glass in the APO Telephoto from my wet film days. However, editor wanted shots in RAW format which meant I needed a lot more capacity or limiting the number of shots I could take over the day. Cue, Amazon providing the card and arriving in time despite being in the middle of a pandemic and it allowed me to take plenty of photos from a moving boat in RAW format including some of the stunning photos (including the helo shot which was taken one handed as I clung on with the other hand from a RIB bouncing around doing 45 knots with a 450mm FOV on a cloudy day as the afternoon light faded).

The Sony 8GB MSHX8B memory stick duo worked great for my mom's Sony DSC-W120 camera. a nice mother's day gift. I'll order another one as soon as possible for my brother's DSC-W120 camera, which came with a Sony MS-MT1G 1Gb memory stick pro duo. I bought this card needing something bigger for my PSP. It is 8 GB which is 4 times bigger than what came with the system. On top of the size, this particular item is a high speed read and write card. Not only was the price better than anywhere I looked, as of recent, review written December 2011, Best Buy has a extremely limited selection of these cards. I went before purchasing on Amazon and they only had 2 and 4 GB cards and neither Sony or the high speed version. For anyone who needs it for the PSP, IT WORKS! Insert the new, or used, card and go to system settings and format the card, the PSP will do the rest adding all the correct folders. For those who play ISO games it stops any lag that a normal card may have due to data read speeds of slower cards.

I don't know if this product is good or not since I haven't used it yet, I'm having a problem with Sony concerning the warranty on this due to the packaging states it is warranted for 10 years but Sony is trying to tell me that it is only warranted for 1 year and they (Sony) will not allow me to talk to anyone higher than the person that answers the phone and I have provided them with proof of the packaging where it states warranted for 10 years, I will never purchase any other product from Sony.

I bought this because I shared one SONY Memory Stick Pro Duo between my CyberShot and PSP. I put this PRO HG DUO card in my PSP. It does seem like it saves files quicker. In the PSP game BEATERATOR, I'm able to save my songs almost twice as fast. There's a lot of room (8 gig). I can probably store a couple of movies on there - haven't tried it yet though. Seemed like a good deal too. I got this for 27 bucks - and it arrived within the week.

La Memory Stick pues es tal y como la describen, es una tarjeta original de Sony. No he tenido problemas al usarla tanto en una cámara digital como en la PSP. Tanto la velocidad de escritura como de lectura es buena, no tanto como una SD de ultima generación, pero no es desesperante tener que copiar un archivo pesado de ella o en ella.
