This light is perfect. Looks just like the pictures. Perfect brightness. The touch on/off is very easy to use.I saw some answers to questions indicating that it had a rechargable battery. I see no indication of that. It does not work unplugged from a usb outlet.

Broke coming out of the package. The second one works super well. Impressed with how well the touch works. I probably just got bad luck on it breaking. Worth the buy if you need a light plugged into a usb port.

When I first attempted to shape this while it was in the USB port, it broke, but was easily fixed with super glue. For an inexpensive laptop or Chromebook that does not have a backlit keyboard, these illuminate the keyboard perfectly at night or on an airplane (if you find an airline seat with enough legroom to open your laptop).

I got two of these. Thinking I would plug in one on both sides to solve my lack of a lit keyboard issue. Not so much. First, one is brighter than the other. Second, they are not nearly long enough to use practically. They look neat as long as your hands aren’t there actually typing. If you do actually type, then there are shadows. I type all day and don’t need to look directly at the keyboard to do so accurately, with the exception of a glance or two. Generally I use my peripheral view to catch the portion of the keyboard I need to use. But aiming the lights to accomplish this is tough. Either I get shadows, or glare from my screen. They aren’t what I thought they would be. Maybe they will work well for others, just not what I thought is all.

Wow, the USB part broke on one of them when I first tried it out... They look cool, are pretty bright, but are very flimsy and not well constructed. I wouldn't recommend these lights.** Update, the broken light completely fell apart, see second picture**

You get what you pay for. I used a light meter and USB ammeter to compare these USB led lights from Runningsnail against an old USB led light I have. At same electrical current, 0.18A, these new USB led lights from Runningsnail have less than half the light output ofthe old led light. I cannot recommend these lights.

We plug these in to small rechargeable battery packs we got at 5 Below (a $5 and under store) for reading at night. It allows us to climb in bed and still read with the overhead lights out - after all, once the cats get comfy it'd disturb them if we had to get back out of bed to turn OFF the over head lights! Seriously, these work well. I even insert them into the rear USB ports on my computers when I climb under my desk to "play with cables".

I work inside portable planetariums and out under the stars, so I needed a small light that my laptop could power. These little lights fill that need perfectly and bend around to put light where I need it. The lights have no problem travelling in my cramped messenger bag with pens, adapters, and cables in the same pocket, yet they work every time. I would recommend these to others!
