The Comforts of Home (Harmony Series Book 3)

These are quiet stories about people in a town - and new people in the town - and over a series of books - some people's story gets resolved and she moves on to other characters. This isn't a happy ever after ending for everyone but I like that they write about various ages of people with actual personality you can recognize (from growing up or living in smaller town). I like that there are all ages of people in these stories, from various incomes and back stories. Nothing hugely exciting - no overwhelming sexual theme - just good story telling about real people, real problems.

I have to agree with others. Just too many characters in this one. No characters got developed & so many story lines that nothing really got settled. I guess I am use to Robyn Carr's writing of her Virginia River series. Yes she has reoccuring characters but usually the book is about one maybe two main couple (people) with the others thrown in & at the end of the book issues have been resovled but you still look forward to going back & hearing about her next group in the series with it having some of your favorites mentioned. I think that's where Ms. Thomas misses the boat with this series & especially in this book. You get introduced to so many characters you really aren't invested in any of them. I will read the next in the series just to see what happens to Rae & the others from the first two books. Hopefully there won't be a ton of new characters in the next one & someone will have a happy ending.For me this was a ok read, but I have been finding myself getting bored with each book in this series. Too many problems, issues, & characters for my liking.

Lots of action in this book. Can’t wait to read the next one.As always several characters with mystery & intrigue .

I waited a long time to read this book because I have trouble reading the small close together print. I finally gave up and purchased a Kindle. I have read her books for a long time now, starting with the old west stories. I also like her present day story lines. Takes me a little time to get into her way of writing, but the characters are good. Although, sometimes seem a bit dark to me. But I will continue reading. Her stories make good entertainment. I have several more to read now that I have a way to see them better.

This novel was centered around Reagan Truman and her uncle who has taken ill. When a storm threatens Harmony, the residents band together to help each other. Again, Noah reappears who is unhappy with his rodeo life. There were so many characters in this novel that you had to remain alert.

I love all of the books in the Harmony series. Jodi Thomas has created a place that you would love to live. In the books you meet characters who are so real, so clearly defined. It doesn't matter if it is Reagan, a young girl abandoned who grew up in foster homes until coming to Harmony, or Tyler an undertaker with a heart of gold discovering romance for the first time at 40. They are real people with real problems. Love doesn't happen beyween one chapter and the next. It grows slowly with challenges along the way. The books are about the residents of Harmony. You get to meet them, what them interact, and grow to love them. Can't wait till the next.

After I finished book two I wanted to know more of what was going to happen. Was a good read but at some places the story line was repeated so a person start to lose interest. I stopped here with series as I didn't like the way it was going

I purchased 4 of the 5 books in this series and REALLY liked every one of them. Jodi Thomas brings these characters to life so that you feel that you know them all. Very good story lines and the books keep you interested from the very first page. I will be buying the fifth book in this series. Can't wait to read more books by this author

im finding this book really hard 2 finish unlike the 1st 2 harmony books the story is flat and i have 2 skip the chapters about claire and sims they are just so awful i have never known jodi thomas 2 write about 2 caracters so unlikable, as a jodi fan im so disapointed.

Good story

Loved it bought the next book of the serie.
