Originally purchased for a friend, but their outside fixture covered the sensor so it could not work. I tried it in my own light fixture by my front door and it works great. Light comes on when it gets dark. No timer to set. Just works. So, five stars because it does what it is supposed to do. Any minus stars would go to the fixture, not the bulb. Do recommend.

These lights are bright and come on at dusk and shut off at dawn

This was the first time I used these bulbs and they work like a charm. As long as you have them behind glass they will come on at dusk and go off at daylight. So they work great and as intended.

These are the best bulbs you can buy for your outside lights. Just turn the light switch on and leave it on and the light bulbs will come on at dusk automatically and turn off at dawn automatically.
