ITBHQC201 2 In. Impact Tough™ Quick Change Bit Holder

This is great for my drill. It holds the bits so they don’t keep falling out. Easy to use.

2-inch: Put to use upon delivery. There are some -ve comments on AMZ for this item but in my case no issues. The +ve are no bit wobble, decent magnet and bits hold in place. For the reviews I read about difficulty in removing bits. I suggest only quality like Bosch or Milwaukee, etc. Cheap bits can be a pull to remove as the machining is less accurate. I gave the cheap stuff to my dad-in-law. Nothing broke and I find the price good for what you get. 6-inch: A longer bit holder and I got some wobble. All else is similar to the 2-inch holder. The wobble is controllable with a 2-speed drill or bit driver. Start slow and only use the torque needed to drive to avoid the wobble.

A little sticky in the slide/locking mechanism but overall a good tip. Sometimes you have to tap the tip on the side to change out tips but no big deal. Works good and I like it the fact that it fits the impact driver as well as the screw gun. A little pricey but is good quality.

This is a torsion style bit holder, so it is intended for the more construction type of work than for industrial or automotive. I selected this specific one for its size and quick change style, and the price given that. I prefer the quick change style of this, and although many state it is not for one handed operation, I find this style very easy to use with one hand. When inserting the bit, I have the bit in hand and with my fingers, pull the collar of the holder towards the bit and it slides right in. To remove, I just start gripping with my fingers on the collar and pull the bit out. I have used the style where you just push the bit in and do not prefer it. Often times, at least for me, the collar does not remain in the open position, especially when moving fast. In use, this holds bits very well, a firm fit and hold. I like the combination of the ball and magnetic retention. The ball often leaves slop in the bit and the magnet sometimes loses your fastener, but the combination gives you the no wiggle grip of the magnet while not allowing the bit to be pulled off while using. The slim design allows it to work well screwing in electrical boxes, which is big for me as the other styles I have cannot allow for a perfectly straight fit.

Works great as a cheap adapter. I’ve put mine through hell and haven’t many issues. Worst it’s done is the sleeves locked up and I had to use some pliers to open it, but the sleeves still locking and it’s still working after a few thousand screws.

I write reviews very rarely but in this case I am writing this review for the Bosch ITBHQC201 2 In. Impact Tough™ Quick Change Bit Holder. I have over ten bit holders, including other Top brand names but not one of them is as good as this one by Bosch. Here is why I like it so much: It has the same magnetic feature as other top brands have but none of them is as easy as this one in ejecting the bit out. There is one of them (I don't want to mention the name) that requires two pliers to pull the bit out and another top brand requires you to Pull the spring loaded locking mechanism to eject the bit out which does not make any sense to me. Yet, in another top brand (Milwaukee) which is quite similar to this one the spring is very hard and when you have to change bits frequently it becomes painful. One more bad thing about the Milwaukee is the hard plastic Tag that is attached to the bit holder. It is almost impossible to remove without any injury. I was very much tempted to use my DeWalt cutting tool to remove it. I used a DeWalt heavy duty box cutter to cut it but bit took several times to even get a slight cut into the tag. I used two pliers to twist back and forth several times and I was able to remove half of it. By this time the bit holder was badly scratched. > MILWAUKEE ARE YOU LISTENING? < I bought two more of Bosch because it is hard to find it when I need it in a hurry. A good Tip: I painted the Knurled sleeve red color using an Acrylic paint marker which is waterproof and permanent. Now it is very easy to locate it. PLEASE JUST BUY THIS BIT HOLDER BY BOSCH. You will love it also.
