TDK Blu-Ray 50 Disc spindle
This is my second purchase of this product and it really is a high quality disc. No duds in the 1st purchase and this latest seems to be of the same high quality. And you can't beat the price considering the quality you get. Sure you can find cheaper discs, but good luck trying to read them down the road and you'll have no shortage of coasters due to failed burns if you go with a cheapo brand in my opinion.

Excellent
I see that the price of these have gone up substantially over the past few days.I took a gamble and purchased these printable BD-Rs for $135.00 through Nikoneko Ya on Amazon and paid $31.44 shipping from Japan. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! They arrived at my house two days before the rest of my order from Amazon did. The bottom line is that at $3.33 each including shipping these are less than half the price of other major brand printable BD-Rs.I've tested them in three stand alone Blu-ray players and they function flawlessly in all of them.Don't let the shipping from Japan scare you.Outstanding. Highly recommended!

Great price & Perfect for large file Backups
These disc work great. Out of the spindle, I've only had about 3 coasters. 2 were due to my burner acting up. Otherwise, they worked fine. I use them mainly to back up my video editing projects, with some of them exceeding 100GB!They're a great way to back up large files for long term storage.I will be buying more in the next coming week.

Dye looks purple. Can that still be inorganic?
I'm not confident that these are the stable and long lasting in-organic dye discs that I expected. Per ImgBurn the batch I received 05/05/2014 are MID: CMCMAG-BA3-000 with Recorded Mark Polarity: HTL. However, there's a definite purple hue to the dye side. To me, that suggests "organic" dye. HTL write strategy suggests "inorganic" but the purple color suggests "organic."I am trying to keep away from the organic dyes with their propensity to degrade. I've switched to BD-R largely because the inorganic dye discs are available in that format at a good price. (For DVD, the only write-once inorganic discs are M-Disc as far as I know and per gigabyte, M-Discs cost more than BD-R 25GB discs. [CDRW, DVD-RAM, and DVDRW are also inorganic.]) So, CMC Magnetics is difficult to avoid these days. CMC doesn't automatically mean "bad" any more. And, HTL is something I truly desire if that indicates that the disc is inorganic. However, this purple color bothers me. I think I'm going to play it safe and send them back before I try burning some. All other "inorganic" HTL discs I've seen have a dye side that is a gray or purely silver color. Even some BD-R HTL discs with CMC MID codes are on the market with that gray dye. But this batch being purple? I don't know that I feel confident here. I'll wait a few days before returning this batch just to see if any of you nice folks can allay my fears.I bought this batch because of the marketing hyperbole at the tdkperformance-dot-com site where the "inorganic" dye is touted as their mainstay and where the TDK MID code is described as a prominent identifier. However, I guess TDK has chosen to "farm out" production to CMC without changing their marketing hype because the discs I received did not have a TDK MID code--they have a CMC MID code. This isn't unusual. It's misleading, but, it's not unusual. I know of two other media brand names that have done the same "bait and switch." I don't think it's fair but we can't always know what's in the box until we buy it and open it. That's the reason I stick with Amazon--good return policy that protects us from these deceptive marketing ploys.UPDATE: I now see that there is another term floating about. That term new to me is "composite." I saw an article talking about 3 types of BD-R dye. I only knew of two up until I read that article. The article describes the 3 types of dye as: (1) Inorganic phase change type, (2) Organic (Azo) type, and (3) Composite. I don't know what "composite" means but it sounds to me like it could be a mix of phase change alloy along with organic Azo mixed in. If my supposition is correct, that means the composite dye could be burned using HTL but it has quickly degrading Azo mixed in to make it cheaper. Also if that's true, it would mean that a report of HTL polarity for a disc is not a reliable indicator of its dye type.If "composite" is a mix of two dyes, that would give it a "metallic purple" color. But, of course, that would also mean it's tainted with organic dye and therefore not as durable as purely inorganic dye.I have a need for both types of dye for different types of tasks. There's some discs I would like to burn cheaply and I don't care how long they last once they've performed over the short haul. But, there are some things important to me and I want to preserve them with the greatest chance for survival. However, I absolutely need to know what it is that I'm buying. I must be the one who can make the choice. I don't want to find a precious archive unreadable because a manufacturer tried to hide the contents of the dye from me.

Five Stars
GAs per -TDK Blu-ray Disc 50 Spindle - 25GB 4X BD-R - Printable Disc. So far I have Burned over 50 Blu-ray Discs and so far all burned properly except some did not? and those was my fault for not knowing the proper procedures. And here you have it in full. First I want to reveal the software and burner that I use in order to burn the DISCS. SOFTWARE = CYBERLINK POWER PRODUCER 6. ----HARDWARE = Pioneer 6X Slim Portable USB 3.0 BD/DVD/CD Burner Support BDXL External Blu-Ray Writer in Retail Box + CyberLink Software +USB Cable (BDR-XD05)FORMAT ( BDAV HD H.264 )Now whom ever use different hardware and software for burning the DISCS may experience different outcome for which I do not know. Therefore this apply only for the mentioned Hardware's & Software's.Whenever you are ready to burn a VIDEO CLIP ( here I'm referring to video that I capture ( not a commercial DISC of any kind ). The procedures is very straight forward just follow the instruction. One word of caution ( I did select the lowest burning speed 2X for when I selected 4X the playback became choppy. So do not try to burn at higher speed??? Now I just do not know if this is due to the DISC, BURNER, or SOFTWARE. However I lost few DISCS as a result in trying to speed up the process. The Procedure takes about 4.1/2 HRS to burn the first DISC and about 3/4 HRS to BURN additional DISC. The transcoding of the first DISC takes long time so be patient leave it alone, usually I do it overnight and in the morning the disc is ready to be played in a standalone Blu-RAY DVD PLAYER. As per the longevity of the DISC ( TIME WILL TEL ) As per the playback quality is superb. GOOD LUCK.

Good compatability with Blu-ray players
I have been using TDK Blu-ray discs for the past 3 years and find them to be the most reliable in terms of playback across a wide range of Blu-ray players. There is a TDK logo on the printable part of the disc, but other than that, these discs are great.

Good price but 16% (8/50) failure rate
Good value but 8 of the 50 failed verification after burning and were at least partially unreadable. Lots of other people seem to have no problems so I may have had a bad batch so possibly some quality control issues.

sembrano ok !
