I wanted a DAB+ radio so I could listen to the Australia beat England in the 2023 ashes test series when out and about, so had to be pocket size. After looking at various models, I opted for this, based on price/features/reviews. All in all, a good purchase. Works well. As per all these types of radios, plug in headphones/earphones are required as the cord provides the aerial. The reception is not bad at all. I live n a not great DAB area, but outside, it picks up stations no problem. Inside, well, no DAB radio works very will indoors anyway, and I can listen to the cricket on my Alexa devices anyway, so no worries. Operation is easy enough, but first of all you have to can for DAB stations, as there are not many stored already. Other than that, easy to use. Battery lasts a reasonable amount of time, We'll see how good it is and lasts, but should be easy to replace with a better one, once it dies, assuming I can open the radio without breaking it. Might be the battery costs as much as a new radio. Not unheard of. I am giving it 5 stars.

Great little radio

Good sound quality with simple operation of controls. Small size with good headphones that fits comfortably. One big negative - no mute button.

This is a nice compact little pocket radio. It is perfect for listening to whilst walking the dog. The sound quality is crystal clear and the headphones fit nice and snug inside the ear, not falling out every two minutes like my last pair from a different manufacturer! I like the 'locking' facility on the switch which prevents the channel being changed whilst it's in your pocket. It took a minute to work out how to turn off the radio, although that could just me. You have to slide the switch to the up position and hold it, the 'standby' message comes on, then you release the switch and the radio turns off. It charges quickly and holds the charge really well too. All in all I'd recommend this little radio, it's great!

My car stereo radio channels stopped working (2014 Zafira) and needed an alternative. Was looking at in-car DAB adaptors but then thought about a portable radio. Was apprehensive at first as didn't know if the aux cable would double as an aerial so for under £23 gave this a go. It works. Sound quality very good. Signal did drop out a few times while driving but it's better than nothing. Radio is nice and small so doesn't take up any space

The box for the radio had clearly been opened previously. When I took the radio out of the box the screen protector had also clearly been removed and replaced. Decided to try and give it the benefit of the doubt anyway. I put it on charge but it refused to stay in standby while charging, adding to that the fact the charging percentage was all over the place. One minute its going up by 1% a second, next it is taking an hour to get the next percent. I strongly suspect I was sent someone else's returned device. Have returned for refund.

I bought this to replace a Pure PocketDAB 1500 which accidentally got fried by connecting it to a laptop charger. ( Same plug!) I have used the MangoKit MP1 for a few weeks now and there are no problems. It has got a DAB wherever I have tried it and the preset system works well and is easy to set up. The on/off switch instructions were a little confusing, but simply slide up momentarily for on and hold up longer for off. In summary; as good as the Pure product at less than a third of the price.

Very good and sound is very clear and the same day delivery was perfect
