The overhead console uses one, the two "map lights" next to the overhead uses one each. The rear seat interior lights above each door uses one. Five total and I have five on hand for replacements in the future. Brightness is a personal observation and as I get older, there seems to be no such thing as "too bright" anymore, when it comes to utility lights. That said, very happy with the lights, but hoped they were a little brighter due to how large the interior is. For the average user/car, they should be plenty bright. All bulbs worked fine, no dead LEDs.
