Works great.
I use this to digitize my 35mm slides when I was stationed in Thailand. Once set up it only takes seconds to digitize a slide. My equipment is as follows Sony A7R2 full frame camera, macro extension tubes, A Tacomar 28mm f3.5 manual lens and a tripod. A good photo editing software is needed for the best results. For the price this is very good. Well worth the money.

It gets the job done.
Not a substitute for scanning, but it does get the job done.

Digital images from your film negatives
This worked as described. I was able to get great digital transfer from black and white negatives. Not a bad price either. I would recommend this product to anyone at the price I paid for it.

Works well.
I've gotten decent scans with this setup. I just wish that the bottom was completely flat so it would lie flat on the table.

Great Product + Cheap
Bought this for converting negatives to digital with my Canon EOS R. I can confidently say that this is a solid product. It reduced the overall footprint compared to other products. Good design and is user-friendly. I would suggest including or purchasing a tripod separate for greater utility. I included an image from that recent scan as a proof of concept.

Reasonably priced and efficient
I must have scanned over a 100 negatives and slides with ease. This the Bhat in a long line of scanners I tried during the years.

Picked this up as a cheap entry into dslr film scanning. I haven’t tried it with 120mm film as there are no frame holders built for that but I may be able to rig something up so it will work. My main grievance with this product is the film negative holders and how you move through each frame. The holders are very tedious and require a bit of work to align your negatives correctly without them moving around in the holder once closing. It doesn’t get your negative completely flat either but it does a pretty decent job for the price. My other issue isn’t as much of an issue with the specific product but more so the nature of using such a small and light negative holder and light. Unless you have the light mount and negative holder secured and mounted to something, everything you advance the film to the next frame you’re going to disrupt/move everything and have to readjust your crop and focus distance etc. It is super easy to bump by accident and then force you to readjust everything, which can take more time than expected. Overall for the price, it’s a really great option for someone getting into film scanning and don’t want to spend the money on a flatbed scanner which IMO doesn’t resolve as good of an 35mm image as a dslr with a macro lens and RAW capabilities. As a professional, I think you’re better off investing a little more into a higher quality system like Valoi or something from Negative Supply. They may be a bit overpriced but you are getting a more sturdier and less-tedious device.

Woks fine except it is difficult to kekp steady , I have to reposition the viewer at every slide, even if my camera is on a tripod, I should have bought the holder

It works, but I have to be diligent to set things up. Forget the image of a person using a hand held camera. I put my Nikon Z5 camera on a stand, bought mini levels to put on my 105 mm macro lens, and on the film holder. I had to carefully focus on the four corners of the film / slide, by physically leveling and aligning the setup, to make sure everything was in focus. It works, but it does take determination and patience to line up everything with each shot.

It's Ok for the money, but do not expect it to produce perfectly flat, distortion free scans of your negatives.
