Perfect for a reclining couch
My wife and I use these to support the springs under our reclining couch that was starting to sag right where you sit. The couch is six years old and still looks new and functions well except for the sagging in the seat of your pants. After pulling the couch out and laying it on its back, we had to cut away the fabric that was covering the springs. My wife actually took over this job. It was a very tight space to work in and I was starting to get a little flustered. I pulled the springs towards me and she was able to slide The hard foam inserts one at a time under the springs. They are the perfect fit. Each side required two inserts although they come three in a box if they came four in a box, I wouldโve only had to purchase one box, but thankfully, I purchased two just in case. So I have two inserts left over. This IS definitely a two person job, as other reviewers have noted. The inserts add a little more support. Enough so that Iโm not looking to swap out the old couch. As you can see in the pictures these fit under the zigzag springs it does state in the directions if the spring is broke the pads obviously will not work. This company also makes pad inserts to put between your mattress and boxspring which we purchased and they work equally as well to eliminate sagging in different areas.

Works
The pieces of foam were hard to get in place. Placing them between the springs and the cushion was not too easy. Once in place, there firmer feel to the cushion was noticed.

WORKS PERFECT!!
I have a recliner that is an electric lift chair. I loaned my chair to a friend in perfect condition. When I got it back, the seat cushion was "bottomed out," as well as the lower part of the back cushion. "Your rear end sunk in under the seat back" thats how bad it was. $250 to fix at an apholstry shop. I read the reviews for the SagsAway. Some great and some not so great. Took a chance anyway. I prefer a dense cushion so very firm. Received the SagsAway yesterday followed the directions with the help of my granddaughter and I added the third one I didnt use on the seat part to the lower back part of the cushion. Turned the chair back over and tried it. Not only is the seat part the way it was, but so is the lower back cushion. My seat cushion is very firm again and no more "bottom out." Great fix for my chair."

Pretty good - tough to install
got 2 packs of the Sagsaway for a reclining couch that my teen sons primarily use. It's about 10 years old - and cushioning has definitely diminished over time. Saw the Sagsaway product and figured we'd give it a try. about $60-$70 instead of $2,000 for a new couch. had to first cut away some black fabric to access the springs - took my wife and i a bit to figure out best how to install - but got it done in less than an hour - with me pulling and her installing these pads that are a really firm foam. did seem to provide a big improvement on the loft of the cushions. padding also was substantially increased. i think a lot of the improvement comes from the springs no longer sinking into the bottom-side of the cushions. Obviously - not like a new couch now - but - for the price and work involved - pretty darned good results - just tough to install - you definitely need 2 people! bought another 5 sets of these for a love seat & couch that recline in our basement. these are almost 30 year old pieces of furniture. the kids (young men) use these when gaming in the basement. Cushions were all sagging and sunk in. Install on these 5 sets was a breeze compared to the original 2 sets we installed (probably because these couches were so far worse). did all 5 in less time and a lot less effort than the 2 others. and i did it all myself. couch cushions look like they should. cushioning is restored to pretty darned good condition - obviously not gonna be new. for $150 investment on these 2 couches - well worth it!!!

Comfy placement requires some trial and error
I'm revising my review after some trial and error. These eliminated the sag in my rocker recliner with intact springs. But, the material is rigid, compressing the existing cushioning material and causing discomfort to my tailbone (coccyx) when placed directly under that area. I started by fitting all 4 pieces evenly into a 2x2 arrangement beneath the springs, and that was clearly too much. The sag visibly disappeared but left my bottom numb. Removing 2 of the pads and orienting them into a 2x1 layer didn't improve much. Only after removing all but 1 insert and positioning it forward under my thighs and not directly under my bottom was I able to eliminate most of the sag without causing discomfort. If it adds life to my chair, it will be worth the price.

Used these in a pair of LazyBoy powered recliners where the foam had compressed and they worked really well. Much firmer and more comfortable. My wife tends to sit leaning on one side so put two in the back but with only half of one under the springs so that it lifted up the foam more on the one side that was more compressed. That worked really well also.

Purchased this item to support a sagging recliner. We installed the kit sa instructed and it seems to be working. Time will tell how well they will work in the long run.

Used this on a large leather lazy boy. It solved the problem. Now my back don't hurt anymore and I didn't have to buy a new chair!

These slates I saw on YouTube to help with sagging recliner. The recliner is 2 years old and although easy to use, they did not much to help the sag. It was worth a try, but this time DIY DId not work with this product.
