Soft, but warm
Soft and well fitting. They are a bit warm, so maybe not for the hottest months. But overall great socks.

My New Go-To Running Socks
I wasn’t expecting to love a pair of running socks this much, but these socks absolutely lived up to the hype. They strike the perfect balance between comfort and performance. The targeted cushioning is exactly where I need it—under the forefoot and heel—without feeling bulky or hot. The merino wool blend is a game changer. These socks stay dry, breathe incredibly well, and never feel swampy, even on longer runs or warmer days. They fit snugly without slipping, bunching, or rubbing, and the ankle height is just right for preventing irritation from my shoes. After several washes, they still look and feel brand new—no shrinking, no lost elasticity. Highly recommend if you want comfortable, durable socks that actually make your runs feel better. Worth every penny.

Comfortable, stylish and most importantly durable socks.
I've always been someone that's purchased the value packs of socks at department stores. So when I initially saw that this single pair of socks cost as much (or more) as a whole value pack of 8-12 pairs of socks, I really hesitated on purchasing them. But I'm glad that I did. I walk 7-10 miles a day and I used to go through socks like they were made out of paper. A pair of socks would last me a week tops before I'd wear them out and put holes in them. So I was really hoping to find socks that wouldn't fall apart so easily. Someone suggested I look into getting merino wool socks and that lead me to these smartwool socks. I've had these for about 6 months now and they're still intact and still provide plenty of cushion to my heels and the balls of my feet. I used to get a lot of blisters from walking and I haven't gotten any since switching to these. I've since bought a few more pairs in different colors and they have all performed equally. So these have been a great investment and are definitely worth their premium price over traditional value pack socks. Highly recommended.

Great socks!
Bought these socks for my boyfriend and he loves them for hiking. They are comfortable and wash well. They are warm, fit true to size, and are made well.

Good Hiking Socks
I like the socks, but don't love them. The inside of the socks looks a little sloppy, we will see how they wear as I just got them. They are comfortable but they are expensive so for the price I think they should be better made.

Comfy and kept me dry; wool didn't annoy me!
Finally had a chance to use these. Humid, sunny, 80 degree, South Texas morning; 4-mile, 1.5 hour walk on asphalt in GORTEX shoes. Kept my feet dry! I could feel my feet were a bit humid inside the shoe, but my feet never felt moist or wet. Also, I was extremely pleased that the wool did not annoy my feet [I did not wear any liners]! I've tried other Merino wool items (sweaters), and got all itchy after about a minute. In the shoe, I could tell these socks weren't cotton, though, when I moved my toes around [in case you have sensory issues like me]. They stayed up on my ankle (didn't sink down), and didn't feel like they were strangling my leg (I'm really thin, though). The extra padding on the toes and heels was great, but I seem to go hard on the ball of my left foot, and might look into the other Smartwool socks with more padding along the entire sole. Overall, very pleased, and would definitely recommend!

I wear these for golf as I was recommended them by my brother. I thought paying this much for socks was a bit much, but now I never play without them. I used to be very picky with what golf shoes I could wear, but that’s no longer the case. Comfort is awesome regardless what shoes I have on, never get blisters or rubbing wearing them. I would say that because of the extra cushioning, shoes do feel a little more snug which is fine as long as they don’t rub. They do tend to be a bit warmer on the feet than other socks during the summer months, but not even close to the point where it’s an issue. The length is a bit odd, they aren’t quite a just above the shoe length, nor are they a long sock, it covers my ankle bone and then maybe an inch, which is fine for wearing trousers, but they look a bit weird with shorts. Would recommend them though.
