Great for drill press tables
The dimensions of these T-tracks make them ideal for building drill press tables without the need to route out recesses for the T-tracks or sacrificial inserts. Simply screw the T-tracks to the table base and then fill around them with 1/2 inch MDF*. The MDF brings the table surface even with the tops of the T-tracks and provides a durable surface that is easily replaced. Arrange the MDF pieces to trap one of them near the center as a sacrificial insert.I actually start by framing a 3/4 inch table base with 1-1/4 inch tall wooden strips that have been notched with 3/4 inch wide dados 1/2 inch deep wherever the T-tracks will need to extend through them to the edge of the table. The T-tracks mount very securely onto the base with 3/4 inch screws (I do not use the 1/2 inch screws provided with the T-Track). The 1/2 inch MDF pieces bring the entire surface even, and confined by the table's border and T-tracks none of the MDF pieces have to be screwed down. The smaller ones near the center act as sacrificial inserts that can be rotated, swapped, or replaced as needed.Regular 1/4 inch bolts with 7/16 hex heads work very well in the T-tracks, and the mounting screws do not interfere with the sliding of the bolts.* NOTE: The actual thickness of 1/2 inch MDF varies but is usually several thousandths of an inch below the thickness of the T-Track, so for greater precision you can put a sheet or two of paper under the MDF.

Very sturdy and versatile.
Most 3/4" wide T-Track is 3/8" deep, so it usually works well in 3/4" thick wood. This Incra T-Track is 1/2" deep and I'd want to do some testing with the specific application before I would use it in 3/4" stock, but it definitely works great in thicker wood. What you gain with the extra depth is the ability to use heavier mounting screws, which makes for sturdy installation. It comes with "#8 wood screws" (they look like round head #8 sheet metal screws to me) while the 3/8" deep T-Track requires #6 or smaller flat head screws. The ability to take 1/4" hex bolts and nuts makes it quite versatile. I'll certainly be buying more Incra T-Track for other projects.

Screws too short, but still 5-stars
Good - uses #8 pan-head screws instead of ridiculous #6 wood screws like a competitorBad - screws are only ~5/8" long, easily replaced with longer screws if you table-top is thick enoughGood - uses standard 1/4" boltsGood - jigs slide easily, don't hang-up on bolt-headsGood - well constructed, attractive, excellent fit/finishGood - fits perfectly into 3/4" x 1/2" deep grooveGood - price is excellent, Incra quality at a reasonable price

Great product, stupid shipping.
I just bought some of these to make a fixture for my workshop. The product itself is great. It is exactly as described. I bought three of them since that is all that was in stock. I'm sort of glad that there weren't more in stock because the way that they were shipped was ridiculous. These things measure about .75" x .5" x 48". They showed up in three boxes. Each box was four feet by two feet by about seven inches. Each box was stuffed with yards and yards of crumpled paper. At the very bottom was the actual product. Whoever shipped these was an idiot or wants to see their company lose money.

Nice Rail - but be aware of the dimensions
I purchased two of these rails for installation into the channels in my router table - one on the table itself and one on the table's fence. They are excellent for this task. My only regret is that I had expected them to be wider so that I could also use the guide from my table saw (since the dimensions said 3/4") - and that would have been fine if the 3/4" was the inner channel dimension and not the outside dimension of the piece itself. So although this channel works very well for the featherboards, I can not use the other tool on this table.

Jig Bones
If you are an inveterate jig maker, you know you need t-track to secure your creations and provide them with variability. There are several styles for t-track out there, and of course they are mostly not interchangeable, so you need to choose one style and use it in all your jigs, benches, router tables, drill press tables, and the like. This is the one I chose. It's readily available from multiple sources. They will sell you custom designed t-bolts at ridiculous prices, but the plain old garden variety hex bolt works just fine. They advertise 1/4" bolts will fit in the track as-is, which is true. I prefer a larger bolt size (1/4" just rattle around too much), so I take a 5/16" bolt and grind off two opposing sizes just a bit. The 5/16" then fit just fine. Doesn't take much - beware of over grinding.

Incra TTRACLREG48- 48-inch T-Track Regular
I purchased this t-track to use in a table saw sled I was making for my new Dewalt 745 table saw. The problem is it is an 1/8" too thick and I would have to put a dado in the sled to have it fit flush with the table top. The track being a 1/2" thick leaves little stock left in a 3/4" piece of plywood for strength after it's dadoed. I ended up buying the Kreg T-Track which fits fine. I do love the saw.

Incra 24" T Track - Excellent Buy and Great Product!
I have bought several of the Incra T Tracks. They are well made, and serve their intended purpose very well. They require a 1/2" deep recess to install flush with the surface, so you need to be very careful when installing in a 3/4" thick board (plywood or solid wood work well). I double the thickness of the wood when using these, and have never had a problem. Will definitely buy more.
