Recommend using a plumber for installation along with the correct valve. The valve recommended on the Amazon page (with this product) is correct. Problem that occurred was the tile surrounding the original valve. Had to be trimmed by the plumber in order to get new in. It took the plumber a bit of time to get things working thus this is not a diy project unless one has good plumbing experience. (Plumber was very good with years of experience.) Final product works like a charm and looks very good. Good value. Would recommend. (I prefer Delta quality over Moen any day. This Delta product did not disappoint.)

Have replaced several of these over the years. It’s a straightforward valve that has been around and rock solid for years. I usually purchase these at the local box store, but they were out of this model, so I purchased this one through Amazon instead. This is a solid valve that is not that hard to replace. THAT IS if you can get the Allen screw out to remove the handle and remove the bonnet nut without over torquing the mixing valve body and snapping any of the copper piping and fittings. If you can not easily remove the screw and or bonnet nut even after researching and watching YouTube videos on other alternatives on how to do so, which could involve drilling or possibly cutting the handle and bonnet nut off, I would stop and call a plumber. If you put too much torque on the bonnet nut while trying to remove it, you run the risk of causing water damage. I have read that some find the handle or round trim plate flimsy. I must ask what are you doing with or to your shower handle and trim that you find too flimsy? Once you get this installed completely and correctly it’s as solid as any shower handle and trim on the market. I have also read some complaints that people can’t get enough hot water out of the shower or that the pressure is too low. For the hot water issue, I am going to guess that one of a few things is probably happening. People are not reading the instructions correctly and adjusting the rotational hot water limit stops to max, they have installed the mixing cartridge reversed and are getting more cold water when it should be hot water or have a hot water heater issue. I have never run across a lack of hot water in any of these styles of valves that I have replaced. As to the low flow problems, a simple search on YouTube will give several options on how to correct the problem. Otherwise, as I stated in the beginning this is a great option for replacing old valve handle, trims, and cartridges.

The shower faucet is very responsive and I love all the options on the shower head. We've had good luck with Delta in the past and appreciate the quality of their products.

It's a Delta shower kit, it will last forever. This will be my third, and last, bathroom remodel. I have used Delta on all showers/tubs. I am replacing Delta faucets and showers for cosmetic reasons but the old ones were installed in 1965 and work or worked pefectly. On the other hand, any time you need to repair or replace - that should be many years later - Delta parts will always be available. Do this and you do future you or future owner of your home a favor. Also a beautiful shower kit, heavy duty quality aside, it looks great.

Delta/Brizo are probably the simplest shower assemblies to install, and are what I recommend to clients. The rough-in valve bodies haven't changed for over 2 decades because they are simple, do NOT fail, and are compatible with an almost limitless number of trims. This trim fit our client's design look, provides great water flow, and can be easily changed to a different style in the future.

I ordered this product a year ago and was busy building our house. I should have looked at the order closer when it arrived because I did not receive the proper shower head. I received the most basic delta shower head instead, like a cheap hotel version. If you order check it carefully. I'm very disappointed that I did not look into it better and will be replacing the shower head.

Love all things delta. This is a solid, well built unit. It came with all the replacement parts you may need one day too. Highly recommended!
