This is the unit straight out of the box with just the front and back excess lace removed! I wanted everyone to see the exact starting part with this unit and this is the MOST amazing unit!!! Exactly as described, extremely soft, the hair is gorgeous. I haven't bleached or sealed the knots....so far zero and I mean zero shedding. I haven't made any alterations to this unit other than removing the lace and plopping it on my head!!! Please ignore my plain, no makeup up face and if you're on the fence about ordering this unit...please take a chance. You will be extremely pleased, the unit truly looks like the picture on the mannequin not of the actual young lady.***6/26/17 Update*** I sewed this unit down and I have worn it 24 hours a day since it arrived. There has been no shedding (though I completely brush it out each night), no tangling, no matting. This unit just keeps getting better the longer I wear it!!! All I do is brush it completely it not, flexi rod it (no products added at all) and sleep in a silk bonnet, that's it and a few nights I fell asleep before doing anything to it and awoke the next morning and could begin my day: no flat ironing, no curling necessary. I'm the first to admit, I'm not a skilled at "styling" my own hair let alone a wig but that's the beauty of this unit, it doesn't require any special "extra" stuff to make it look nice, it just is and it gets prettier every day.
