bought as a replacement for a 'vintage' stainless steel colander which was still in perfect condition but has rather large holes the OXO colander is now our one of choice.I love everything about it.. the small holes stop things falling from it,the rubber handles are great when the contents are hot, and it is a good size.It seems sturdy and well made, and hopefully it will last years!

This is a sturdy bit of kit and highly recommended. Good value.

Has rubber feet so won’t scratch your kitchen sink.. fine holes so rice won’t go through it..

I bought this to replace a colander I had purchased the previous week, which had the significant deficiency of the drain holes being above the bottom of the colander, meaning that water pooled at the bottom and we ended up with wet pasta.This colander is a far better design and does actually drain - something I deem to be a key requirement for a colander. It is relatively easy to clean and feels fairly robust, but then most do until they break. It is quite tall for my pan drawer but this is not the fault of the colander. Whilst not the cheapest it is not the most expensive, either. Would definitely recommend.

This colander is perfect and just what I needed. Small enough to fit into pots and not take up too much space in the cabinet; fantastic handles that allow for a good grip; plenty of holes ensure fast drainage; the holes are small enough to not allow spaghetti to fall through them; the little feet at the bottom ensure that the colander itself is off the sink (more hygienic). So happy I bought this colander!

Was looking for a pasta scoop that would not scratch my newly bought nonstick pans. Sturdy, could have been a little bit smaller but never the less I can transfer the cooked pasta and stir in my non-stick pansand sometimes depending on the sauce, I can also serve the plates with it.Great buy. I recommend.

I purchased another brand first that didn't hold up and lost a handle after a few months of use. This OXO Colander is built with high standards. Thicker stainless steel and better handles. It should last a lifetime if cared for. I like the hole size, small enough to be effective on grains but large enough to quickly drain liquid. Excellent choice for someone who wants a quality colander for the kitchen without breaking the budget.

My old pasta spoon broke so I searched for a new one. I was skeptical about the size and shape of this one, but ordered it and I am happy I did! It is so much better than my old pasta spoon and more versatile as well. Not only is it a great size and shape for scooping up pasta, but I make a lot of stir fry and one pot pasta meals and this works so well for other uses besides just scooping pasta.
