Bamboo White : BentoHeaven Leakproof Bento Box with Fun Lunch Notes, Cutlery, Chopsticks - Bamboo White

I bought this because I wanted a microwave safe lunch box with 2 compartments to separate my lunch. It's not abundantly clear in the summary that there is a limitation of low-to-medium power only, and only up to 3 minutes. The containers and cutlery compartment don't hold together without the strap, so you have to use 2 hands to hold this (or be really careful with 1 hand!). Carrying by the strap is not sturdy enough and the compartments can come apart. The 2 containers have good air tight lids, which are great. Just remember to unplug the vents to help get them off. The cutlery lid on the other hand is the exact opposite and just falls off as it's not air tight and doesn't clip in. The strap holds it in place. If you lose the strap, nothing holds it all together, and it will all come apart in your bag. The container lids stay on but the cutlery compartment will fall apart. So without the strap, you'll have 2 separate food containers, the cutlery and lid rolling around in your bag. Apart from the functional issues, the container sizes are actually perfect and accurate for what I personally wanted, which was a container for a single meal that I could separate into compartments before I re-heated it. You shouldn't get this to replace a full sized lunch box, especially if you're a big eater. The sauce container is more for sauce, or for a very small portion of snacks.

Solid and smart construction - everything you need in a compact package. It looks nice and is easy to open and put together with a basic understanding on how to use the seal. It has plenty of space to fit a nutritious meal that keeps you full until dinner time. Some reviews stated that there wasn't enough space, but I can fit a whole ribeye steak, sweet potato mash with protein rice, and a good sauce. So, I dont understand how there could be reviews like that out there. Bless their hearts. Its really easy to clean too. All in all, good buy.

One small thing that would have made this a 5 star - you have to keep the 2 containers together, if you want to use the utensils - even when you only need 1 container. The lid that contains the utensils is loose, it sits on the top but doesn’t have any suction seal so you still need to use the band around it to keep the lid on. One day I only needed 1 compartment but since the band is not adjustable I had to bring along the empty compartment too, so I could keep the band around it to hold the top lid on. Otherwise it’s perfect. I have never put it in the dishwasher, I don’t want to ruin the suction. Also there’s little gasket things you can remove to expose a hole and those can easily get pulled out and lost if you’re not careful washing the lids ;)

Good little bento box for work. Unfortunately the white colour stains easily - but this is probably a given for any white tuppeware. The containers themselves work fine - the top plate that contains the utensils over the containers does not snap shut it only stays shut with the elastic, which makes it difficult when your elastic begins to lose its elasticity or gets stretched out. Ultimately cute but not totally the best functionality.

Really like this bento box. Hav only used a few times but so far so good. Seems really sturdy and lids to each container seal very well. I was afraid it would be too big for my daughters lunch box but it fits perfectly.
