I ordered this mold for my daughter to make a 3D replica of a plant cell for science class. We love how it turned out, especially since she could add real, live plants to it. What you should know that we didn’t: apparently you’re supposed to buy a certain type of resin for pours this thick. Either that, or make multiple 1/4” pours until you get to the desired thickness. We used the “wrong” type of resin, poured it about an inch thick, and were luckily able to de-mold it in about 36hrs. Not 100% cured and still slightly tacky in some places, but it worked!Very pleased with the size of the mold. Some people complained that they weren’t able to de-mold their project without destroying the mold; that wasn’t the case for us. We also didn’t use any sort or prep spray before pouring in the resin. We just willed it to work out well I guess! The little vase fit nicely in its place. I’ll be purchasing another so we have enough vases (it came with 3) to make holiday gifts for family and friends. Happy to have stumbled across this fun mold!

The product had resin in it which was very difficult to clean. I really thought I bought it new but it was obviously used.

I bought this mold to make flower vases with resin.Here are my findings:Pros:-It has thick ribbed sides to avoid deforming.-Comes with x3 tubes for flowers-Easy to clean-Easy to demold (remove the final piece from the bottom for easier removal of the indent portion)Cons:-The tubes to hold flowers that come with the mold don't sit properly in the indent in the mold. They are slightly taller than the mold and wiggle a bit.Other:-The final piece is heavy. This could be a pro or a con.

Very nice and large

With this 2” think Silicone Mold I figured I would do this in layers, 3 Layers to be exact I did this in a Matter of 24-26 hours the mold was ready to be removed around the 24 hour mark however i gave it two more hours to be safe that it was cured to be removed as I Attempted to remove it I Knew it would be a rough one so I slowly worked it out and was doing pretty good until I reached a Spot on the side/corner area and I tried to work it out slower but it ripped and at that point my goal was to save my project which took me some time slowly shaving off the Silicone with a number 10 scalpel and then I used a little acetone with Q-tips to get the rest off which I will still have to go back and touch it up and buff it out, So the Mold Worked but wasn’t strong enough/thick enoughIn the Most Needed places…
