Upon receiving it, it already feels much more steady than my other purchase. I love having the turn style clamp. Its much better & dependable than a spring clamp style. Originally I was going to place it on my nightstand but the holding clamps were longer than the lip of my nightstand. So I moved it to my bed post. Which is where my previous cheapy one was but it had springstyle clamps and was not stable. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that goes in easily with no problems and my Amazon Kindle 8 also slides in easily.
