Keepers of the Cave

Paige and CJ are two FBI agents who are about as opposite you can get but who also have a one night stand hanging over their heads. Only it’s more complicated than a simple drunken night. Meanwhile, their 4 person team investigates a secluded small town in east Texas where college students and tourists have gone missing. It’s been years since I’ve had actual nightmares and this book reset my clock, because I woke up at 3am with the whole pounding heart, where am I state of mind. Truthfully, I couldn’t say if it was the violence or the creep factor or if it was CJ’s back story that was the trigger. CJ’s history of childhood abuse will horrify you so be aware before picking up this book if that’s a big no. As tragic as her story is, it also is what intensifies CJ and Paige’s relationship to max level. So I recommend because the mc’s are wonderful, their FBI partners are also great, and the suspense is tight but boy oh boy, be ready for the craziness.

I thought this was a really great book. Obviously Gerri Hill is one of the best there is for the kind of books I am interested in. I always know if I curl up with one of her books I will come through the end very very satisfied. ~Focusing on this book in particular though... Go into it with an open mind people. If you are open-minded you will squeeze out all of the good thing this book has to offer. Suspense, Humor, Attraction, Love, Sex, Friendship, etc... ~I do have to say one part really made me sad. I won't be specific but there is a character I really fell for and was rooting for that doesn't get a happy ending... unless Gerri pulls out some wicked sequel that squashes the event I'm speaking of, which is possible. ~Anyway folks, what I'm trying to say is Gerri Hill is always worth the risk... so go for it and take a chance. ~One last thing... this book has the best last scene I have read in awhile. It put a huge smile on my face and revved me up for a second helping. More please Gerri, more, more, more.

This was one of the first lesbian fiction books that I read that got me hooked, hooked, hooked on Bella Books Authors. Two detectives, with a past of their own, are partnered together to investigate a disappearance. CJ Johnson and Paige Riley go undercover and work together to solve the case. Along the way, they realize this isn't a standard investigation. Things are weird to begin with and get more strange as they get closer to the truth. The two don't do a very good job of avoiding their attraction to each other which makes for not only a thrilling read, but also a hot one too! I loved this book and hope you do too!

Finally found an author of Lesbian Fiction I like. That's cost me a fortune reading other nonsense, as people for some reason lie in their reviews. I will be sticking with Gerri Hill.. Loved the characters.. loved the story...loved the Romance, and really liked the other characters, Ice and Billy .. The story was fun, and I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters... I usually don't like lesbian character who do the boy thing, however, CJ was gorgeously crafted. Thanks Gerri, you deserve your accolades, I don't mind paying for your stories... at all

CJ and Paige are attracted to each other. Their next FBI assignment will test that but they have to survive the scary Keeper of the Cave. This story has some scary moments that could only be imagined but it felt very real. This centuries old cult that serves a monster is something that grabs these heart. Gerri Hill gives you such strong characters with great dialogue even the scary part aren't so bad. As the story unfolds I wondered how these people lived and survived so far off the grid. Yet, the intrigue and normal life at the school seemed in such contrast you just had to see how the story ends. The attraction of the MCs was so visceral that you just loved the way they handled each new crazy thing they found out.i am not much for reading horror stories but Gerri Hill tells them brilliant with some great twists.

really like the mixer of romance and sexual tension coupled with the mystery and suspense of this surprisingly strange little odd town. Actually creeped me out quite a few times. l would of given 5 stars but was disappointed in the ending. story was rushed and alot of strings left hanging in the air Have read most of the authors other books and looking foreword to the next one. Hopefully the next one would answer the questions left unanswered in this book Keep on writing! Gerri never disappoints

I am a big Gerri Hill fan and I really love most of her stuff. The book was good enough that I finished it but it really felt half hearted to me. I was intrigued by the synopsis and the book started out well, but it got bad quick. It seemed like about half way through, all the important stuff was rushed and everything that you didn't give a heap about dragged on endlessly. Additionally, the whole thing just wasn't believable. And I'm not even talking about the "creature" in the cave or the crazy cult people. The whole structure felt fake and lacked a certain amount of thought. Also the logistics seemed to be very poorly thrown together. Lastly, I really didn't like the ending. It too, felt rushed, and left you without resolution of important points. But again, I love Gerri Hill and this wouldn't deter me from reading her other stuff.

Gerri Hill has given us another "keep you up all night reading" story. You take FBI agents, disappearances, a cult, and then add a monster too? Oh, and don't forget the chemistry! How much better can it get? Start with page one and then just hang on for the ride! You won't regret it!

El libro esta en ingles, pero con mi nivel actual (medio) pude leerlo bastante bien, la historia me encanto, ese mundo paranormal con misterio y tintes de romance estuvieron bien escritos. Paige y CJ son una de mis parejas favoritas y yo no soy de leer mucho, solo lo que realmente logra atraparme, que son pocos casos. Estoy esperando poder conseguir la secuela y que GH escriba un tercer libro. :).

Too far fetched for me though I have enjoyed many of Hill's books.

This book has action, intrigue and romance mixed with an unnerving investigation, that brings the two main characters together. An edge of the seat crime mystery, that I could not put down. I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading the next book about CJ and Paige.

Love the story and the two main characters. I couldn't put the book down. And that ending, OMG! LOOOOOOVED it :)

This book is amazing, all parts of it, everything, the whole story kept me stucked, I just couldn't love it more!!
