High quality. low cost!
I enjoy a shredded beet and carrot salad daily but I was tired of hand shredding that often included scraping my knuckles on a grater and leaving a large part of the vegetable unused. Also, I didn't want a huge food processor with a shredding attachment, too much bother and hard to clean. So, I thought I would give a small chopper a try. It doesn't shred but it makes finely chopped pieces that are just as good. It chops them in seconds and leaves no unwanted juice from the veggies. This one was very inexpensive, and since this was an experiment, I took it into consideration. However, it had some of the highest ratings of any chopper with sample videos. Finally, it provides a glass bowl plus a smaller metal bowl, which is perfect. A simple easy to use, clean, and store. So happy with this purchase. BTW: I am a real customer and I highly recommend.

Stop- THIS is the one you want!!!!
Ok ... I purchased this on August 3, 2022. I waited until now bc I wanted to give an honest review and I was skeptical if this gadget would hold up. Well it did and SURPASSED my expectations!!!! I originally bought this to make my furbaby his own food, but it's come in handy for cooking for my human family too 😋! This baby is powerful!!! I'm talking shredding sweet potatoes in mere seconds!!!! Anyone who cooks knows how dense sweet potatoes are! This thing cuts em like no bodies business!! I also ground flax seeds, nuts, carrots, celery, well any veggies or fruits, no problem!! But wait there's more... it's amazing for shredded meat too!! Yes, that's right, no more tearing up pieces of meatfor chicken salad. Just rip large pieces of chicken in the bowl use the lower setting and in under 5 secs you have perfectly shredded chicken! Oh, but you like larger pieces???? No problem!! You can control the blades and just pulse them until you've got your desired size. Isn't that awesome?? I'm not even to my most favorite part!!! I hate dishes. Seriously *HATE*!!! This gadget literally takes me MINUTES to clean!!! Once I'm done. It only takes spraying the residue of the bowl with my sprayer, then a spray of Dawn powerspray (not sponsored but hey Dawn email me😉 ), a wipe around with your washcloth/ sponge/what-have-you, a final rinse and Bam, you're done baby!! Even if you towel dry, its clean dry and put away in under 5 minutes!!! Seriously, if I could only give one product 5 stars, it would be this! The blades are still sharp after being used multiple times a week since last August, there's 2 sizes of bowls, one glass, one stainless, two sets of blades that coralate to bowl size (oh and they twist on/ off for easy cleaning- "yeah baby"-Austin Power accent used), and this thing is so powerful!! There are two settings (I and II). Use I for softer items and use II for harder/ denser items like sweet potatoes, nuts, or bones. NOTHING I've cut has taken more than 30 seconds and even then almost all of it doesn't even come close to that. It's quick, easy, efficient, and a sinch to clean!! What are you waiting for... buy now!!! But wait for the next 30 mins.... wait, no, I'm getting carried away I can't offer any deals, but it's already priced cheap for how well it's made and performs... just click the buy now. You won't be sorry- and if you are- hey its Amazon just take it to Kohls and return it for a free 25% off most stuff in their store!! Win/Win Baby!!! *I was not paid for this-obvi, I waited 8 months b4 i even reviewed it... if it sounds like I did that's just me being... well me. I have pix but for sum reason Amazon isn't letting me post them... I'll try later...maybe 😄 )

Confusing instructions but works well.
First of all, I bought this chopper to chop chicken that we mix with our dogs’ dry kibble. We are in dog rescue and we have a couple of old finicky dogs who refuse to eat dog food by itself. Not even canned! Once I started adding chicken I created monsters but it actually turns out to be less expansive than good quality canned food. Anyway, the item was packed well but I think it may have been returned. There was a silicone ring that didn’t fit either bowl and it was cut. Do we even need the rings? The video doesn’t show rings inside the bowls while in use. So not sure what that was for. Also the listed numbered parts had number 8 as a “coaster”? So not sure what that is but I definitely don’t have a separate piece to put under the bowls. That being said, I was ready to return it but then I decided to give it a try. A put two cut up large chicken thighs in the glass bowl and turned it on. Not even five seconds and it was chopped nicely. It cleaned up easily and I will see how it does the next few times I need it. I rated it four stars because of the confusing instructions, broken ring, and maybe a missing part.

A Dog's Tale
My husband and I have a soft spot for hounds, especially older dogs and we always adopt rescues. We know we don't get to keep them as long as we would if we got a puppy, but we just feel our work is to give these older often overlooked dogs a comfortable final chapter, filled with lots of love. I have made dog food for our dogs for the past several years, although I supplement with Dr. Gary's Best Breed dry dog food because there are some trace ingredients that I cannot source economically. Dr. Gary's was recommended to me by a woman who shows coonhounds in working classes and is as picky as I am about her dog's diet. Four years ago we rescued a seven year old black and tan coonhound who was abandoned by a breeder when she was no longer of use. Her name is Juniper; she is a sweet little girl who was afraid of everything and is now living a happy life as a family pet, playing and treeing squirrels in our backyard and coming inside for naps and pats whenever she wants. She has an 8 year old "brother", a red tick coonhound/pit mix we rescued two years ago. Juniper was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and my vet prescribed Hill's kidney diet in the can. I am feeding half Hill's and half my own food (my choice and he was fine with it). I always make a lean beef or chicken based food, however, chicken is a better choice for Juniper due to the lower fat content. One of the problems for dogs with renal disease is that digesting dry food can put a strain on their kidneys. So, I decided to grind my chicken based food with some dry kibble, adding chicken broth for moisture. I have a food processor that would do the job but it's a pain to clean. I also have a Vitamix that would certainly do the job but I could also easily wind up with dog food paste. So, I started looking for a food grinder and came across the Syvio. I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. For the price, even if it was a dud, it wouldn't break the bank. I LOVE this machine. It was very easy to assemble and it ground up my cooked chicken, vegetables and kibble quickly and QUIETLY (compared to a food processor or blender). For those reviewers that said it could not chop meat, check out my picture. It had no problem chopping chicken breasts that I just broke up into chunks to fit in the bowl. (I normally would feed the food in chunks.) It also ground the veggies into tiny pieces and incorporated them so that my red tick will not be able to avoid the green beans. I wound up with food the consistency of deli ham salad, which is perfect...and in less than a minute. I will probably use this instead of my food processor from now on for pimento cheese or other party spreads (and ham salad). The blades are very sharp so make sure you retain the blade guards and put them back on the blades when not using the grinder. I could not be happier with this little grinder.

Perfect!
This is so great and easy to clean . So much better designed than my old cuisinart. The bowl is fully functional as a storage container and the motor is hand held and stays clean.

From Hero (older model) to Zero
Two-Year (latest) UPDATE: What a way to RUIN a product! This went from THE very BEST model of food processor - EVER - to ... useless! I ordered a new one because my old one really, really worked overtime and hard for close to two years - and on just one bowl and one set of blades! Anyway, the new one I received was a terrible model! It did NOT mince food no matter how little or much you used in the bowls, AND, the buttons at the top would go off at any time ... except when you pushed them down to use them! It was beyond awkward. It was dangerous. I complained, and asked where the ORIGINAL, FANTASTIC model had gone, and the seller exchanged the new BAD one with an older model. Sadly, the top blade on the bigger blade set on that one, would not "connect" with the bottom blade and stay connected. As such, the only blade that turned was the bottom blade, so there was no food processing to be had. Oh, and apart from the small set not being very effective either, the small screw came off the small metal bowl a couple of times and finally was just lost. I can't begin to tell you how confused I am that having such a WINNING product, anyone would try and change it, only to make it so much WORSE. I understand that many companies simply buy mass-produced items and slap their brand on them, but in any case, I assume they test them out first, right? Not these. Yesterday, the entire set went into the trash as I could not see donating this only to give someone else a headache. -------------------------------------- Original Review and Earlier Update: Having spent the last couple of years manually shredding or dicing chicken breasts and fruit into tiny portions to mix in with our dog's dry and wet food, the thought of buying a food processor finally popped into my head. Why it took so long, I have no idea, except maybe for the fact that I had never owned one before and that I remembered my granny having this huge, awkward, yellow thing that took a day to assemble and another day to clean. Still, spending as much time and effort on our dog's food - no matter how much we love them, wasn't 'cutting' it. After my lightbulb moment - lol - I then spent WEEKS looking for an 8-cup, "brand-name" model, made by a well-known company ... at a particular dollar figure which I did not want to go over. Well, what I was looking for, does not exist.😅 What finally pushed me toward this little baby, were the two bowls, but I still had some doubts regarding whether it was good enough to try. After all, "Who or what is this 'Syvio'?", I asked myself. The overall positive reviews were the final deciding factor. ... Yes, I know that sounds dramatic for just a simple countertop food processor, but I hate the hassle of returning things - and I hate a bad deal even more. Upon receipt, doubts were quelled. It arrived well-packaged and the entire unit seems to be of great quality. The glass bowl is heavy and the stainless steel bowl is lightweight but well made. The four sets of blades (a SET of two, or FOUR blades for each bowl), were very sharp! What REALLY matters though - and the point which you want to hear, I am sure, if you're still with me ... is that the chopping it does ... is out of this world!!! The more you hold either of the speeds of 'chop' at the top of the unit, the more it dices and the tinier your food gets. All uniformly and easily. I LOVE IT ❣️❣️❣️ We use ours every day and have done so since receiving it way over three months ago. All I can say is that I hope that it lasts for a while at least (I will update my review accordingly), and that I could KICK myself for not having bought one of these long before now! Did I mention that I love it? EDIT: One important thing to note and perhaps consider, is that as of yet, there are no replacement parts. I know this because sadly, I broke our big bowl. (My fault, totally). Also, be sure to wash and DRY the blades immediately after use. Just like knives, this will help keep them sharp. -------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: SOOOO, it has been a YEAR since I bought this, and when I bought it, it came with a big glass bowl (12 cups, I think) and the small steel one, and two different sets of blades (one set for each bowl). Not soon after having it, I broke the big bowl. There went one set of blades too, since the bigger bowl blades would not fit the smaller bowl. Why am I telling you this? I'm getting to it! 😋 😁. I have been using ONLY the small bowl with the smaller set of blades TWICE a day, EVERY DAY since I bought it ... and it's STILL going strong. This thing is a winner. Don't hesitate.

Easy and powerful
I make my own dog food so I needed a simple, easy to use, easy to clean blender that wasn’t too bulky for daily use. This is perfect for grinding meat, veggies and fruit for the them. Really excellent item for the price. ***Update*** 30 days after purchase the machine isn’t working properly. The blades sit on a spindle that slides onto and locks into a spindle that is seated in the bowl. The blades now no longer lock into position and spin off the spindle when rotating. It makes the machine virtually unusable because the blades hit the glass bowl, potentially breaking it. ***2nd Update*** Had product replaced by the company and am very happy that I am able to use it again. The product is excellent and I was offered a refund but I prefer to replace the defective part and continue using this product since it is perfect for what I need.
