We bought an ornamental citrus at the back end of the year and decided that it should overwinter in our unheated conservatory. What we had not realised was that the compost we used when we transplanted it was contaminated with soil gnats. Consequently, every time the pot containing the plant was nudged a small cloud of these gnats rose up and went everywhere. These Blooven traps do a great job as evidenced by my picture. There are no smells, no chemical attractants or no insecticides involved; they're just a modern take on flypaper. The yellow colour attracts the gnats, and the sticky surface takes care of the rest. I've noticed that some flies have PTFE feet and appear to be able to walk over the sticky surface even while some of their compatriots are stuck fast. But eventually they'll succumb!

These arrived very swiftly and were as described by the seller. I have used them before and the sticky pads do trap fungus gnats really well. They could never eliminate them entirely idt but they do massively reduce the seasonal infestation and nuisance. They are extremely sticky and so I would advise removing the protective white covers before inserting the spiky end between the edge of the pot and the compost, whilst only holding the spike and using the two "flats" at the top of the spike to push down on. Else they stick strongly to hands, overhanging bits of plant etc

I have been using these types of traps for several years……what I didn’t realise is that different brands do not mean the same quality. This brand is great. My first brand were great too. However, my first brand was discontinued. In the last few years I have been ordering other brands, only to find they just weren’t sticky enough, insects would fly on…..then fly off 😡😡 Thought I would try again this year, with this brand, so ordered them but not really expecting much after my previous experiences. Now, I had only a couple of midges, but I set up the traps as I usually do. Small glass of Apple Cider Vinegar in each room, with a trap in each glass. I’m delighted to confirm that both midges were trapped within 30 minutes of me putting the first glass out in my kitchen - as per my attached photo. I AM DELIGHTED TO HAVE FINALLY FOUND ANOTHER SET OF TRAPS THAT ACTUALLY WORK. I don’t use them in plants (I don’t have plants), they are more for when some of my counter-stored fresh produce (fruit etc) gets a little too ripe. I find putting a trap in each room solves the problem perfectly, I love the yellow colour (my favourite colour) and their size. The traps are cheap, and last a while, replacement needed really only when they become unsightly with insects. Very versatile, can put them anywhere really. And unlike electric fly traps, these traps do not make any noise. Very unobtrusive in whichever room you put them in. I will be ordering this brand again and am very happy to recommend

These sticky plant pot inserts worked, first one caught 12 fruit flys/gnats. So it works well, but does not get rid of the fruit flys/gnats problem.

Avevo già provato in passato trappole gialle simili, e devo dire che funzionano davvero bene: attirano gli insetti fastidiosi e aiutano a tenerli sotto controllo senza dover usare prodotti chimici. Questi in particolare mi hanno colpito perché oltre a essere molto pratici (si infilano facilmente nella terra dei vasi senza muoversi) sono anche esteticamente gradevoli: hanno forme simpatiche come uccellini, farfalle e altri motivi che stanno davvero bene anche nei vasi dentro casa. Un prodotto semplice, economico e allo stesso tempo efficace. Davvero consigliato, da acquistare senza esitazioni!

Acabo de colocarlo y ya empieza a realizar su función. El pegamento se ve de calidad, realmente el producto en sí está muy bien. Viene en un pequeño paquete que puedes guardar en una cajonera. La colocación es sencilla, con un poco que ayudes con el dedo, la parte se introduce bien en la tierra. Y cuando está colocado retiras las etiquetas de ambos lados, son semi-plásticas y se quitan facil y no se me rompieron como otras etiquetas.
