This has saved my sanity. I recently added a 7 yr old cat to our household. He was free fed and 5 lbs overweight by his previous owner. Trying to cut down his amount of food and listening to him meow for an hour before feeding time was making both of us crabby and nuts.I got this and after finally converting the amount of food the vet said to feed him into 1/12th cups, I set up a feeding schedule for the cat to get a small amount of food 5 times a day in addition to his 3x's a day wet food.The cat is happy because he gets to eat throughout the day without over eating. He has even settled down enough to not feel like he has to eat it all immediately and is leaving a little in the bowl. I'm thrilled because I don't have to feed him 8 times a day and he isn't meowing constantly.The set up was fairly easy - once you figure out how to get past the "care app offer". It's easy to adjust the time and amount the feeder dispenses as the cat settles in. The instructions say for best results to be within 20 feet of wifi without walls in the path. I have two machines (the cats don't share well) and one is on the second floor. It set up and works perfectly fine despite being much farther away from the wifi.These are perfect for cats who are very food related and eat everything as soon as you serve it. I am slowly getting my timid kitty used to the machine. For him, I let the machine sit a foot away from his bowl, not set up, for a few days. Then, I set it up to dispense food when he was near but not too close so hecouldcheck it out. The 3rd step was to move his bowl next to the feeder but let him eat out of his original bowl. 4th step was to let him see me take food from the dispenser bowl to his normal bowl leaving some dry in the feeder bowl. After a few days, he started eating out of the feeder bowl and is no longer afraid of it.

This is a great product. It has been completely reliable and a great help keeping kitty fed. Much better than leaving a gigantic bowl of dry food out that gets dirty and spilled. Although most cats regulate their free feeding consumption if you cat is inclined to overeat this would address portion control. It is nice portioning out food a couple times during the day and the food is fresher than a gravity feed tower, as this tower is sealed and has a moisture absorber. Setup and scheduling was easy. The personalized call for food message is really a fun touch.

Extremely easy to use. It has fantastic capacity and is easy to clean. The app works very well. They have a paid service but I believe that's tailored more to households with multiple pets. I like the custom sound for feeding time. Remotely triggering feeding from the app or setting/changing the schedule is also easy. Perfect if you have to leave for a few days.

Good product. Works well and has not had any serious issues. Easy to set up. Only issue is the low food indicator on the unit and the app don't work. Trying to sort this out with manufacturer now.

These are perfect for the feeders. But these desiccant bags are rather large and they are effective for only two weeks????? I find that hard to believe. I change them every 21 days though I have read that in not-so-humid environments desiccant bags can last up to 2 years!!!!! The packaging on these desiccant bags by Petlibro is a plus! Each desiccant bag gets its own box, wrapped of course to keep it sealed, and they come in a box of 6. Since they fit right into the compartment in the feeders it couldn't be easier to use.

We use two of these to feed our cats when we are on vacation and it works great! And with the app, seeing food is indeed being dispensed, it provides us peace of mind.It took a little while for the cats to get used to the noises it makes but now they come running when the timer goes off. It was quick to assemble, is easy to clean, and with the 1/12 cup increments it allows us to dial in exactly how much food to give them.The app works really well and was easy to set up. All the notifications became annoying so I turned most of them off except for when the food level gets low. While there is a store in the app where you can buy items from Petlibro, they don't push anything on you which I really appreciate.Keep in mind that the silica packets need to be replaced about every two weeks so that could turn into a recurring cost. Since we only fill it and auto-feed when we are away on vacation for a week or two, we don't use them, so its not a requirement for us.
