Buy this eyelet tool. If you look at others come back to this one!
I bought an eyelet tool for banners a couple of years ago. I used it a few times. The very first time I used the other one, I discovered that the punch tool to make the holes was hopelessly dull. I gave it to my husband who sharpened it and uses it for gaskets in the garage. The pliers were very hard to compress and the lower eyelet would set at an angle while I was trying to use them. I ended up cutting the hole the first two times with an Xacto knife. Then misplaced the original tool. I ordered this Imlike eyelet tool that looked very much like the first one I had. Right away I discovered that the punch tool from the Imlike kit is razor sharp and works so well! Then I discovered that the pliers work with very little effort and crimp the grommets effortlessly and perfectly. Today I ran across my old eyelet tool that I'm going to give away. Here's two pictures of the top and bottom of the grommets on a banner I made.

Cheap and useful
Did it's job, and found several situations that it came in handy after it was use for what I bought it for. Has paid for itself several times over.

Easy to use
I bought this to add grommets to a clear tarp that I bought. Very easy to use and seems to be well built. I think it came with 200+ grommets, so it’ll probably last me a lifetime!

I have tested and counted...
The media could not be loaded. So I have had a chance to try this tool out a couple of times now with a couple of different materials. I am so far finding it is working great! The Magnectic holders for the Grommets is actually so much more useful then I thought it would be. When they are in they stay right where they need to be. (However if you put the flatish one on backwards it can be tricky to get back off.)Keep in mind though that the magnets don't help for brass or aluminum grommets as they are non Non-magnetic. (And it might not work for some high carbon steel grommets either for the same reason.)The tool itself can punch through most materials with ease without precutting like thick cardboards or thin plastics. Making adding grommets to these materials a breeze. However Thicker or Tougher materials like leather or rubbers will likely need to be pre punched first before adding the Grommet.Good thing is there is a hole punch added in with this kit that will serve you well in doing just that!Although... Admittedly it isn't an amazing one. The edge was kinda dull and right out of the box I noticed a bad chipped edge on the blade. It will still work as intended with a swift hammer tap (Not twisting like I do in my video) to cut holes on most things but don't expect it to be of a miraculous quality is all.Still, it is more then serviceable and nice to have.Speaking of other nice to haves, sadly this Grommet terminator is not ratcheting. It doesn't take much force to use so I understand why it isn't, but racheting tools are nice to have as they typically release automatically after the right amount of force is applied.Again this tool doesn't do this, you just squeeze hard and hope it is enough. It does mean a lot of wasted energy which doesn't matter for a Grommet or two, but over dozens or hundreds the extra effort might really wear your hands out.Just something good to keep in mind...Anyways so onto the 500 Grommets thing. I am always a little Dubious of counts like these on products and can't help but test them.In this case counting individually would be too time consuming so I used weight.Weighing up 10 of each part and using that number divided into the total weight of the parts and then multipled by 10 to give an approximate total. My results were:-Flat Halfs: 112.1g (Total weight) / 2.2g (Weight of 10 Pieces) = 50.95units x 10 (Conversion back into singles) = 509.5 (Approximate) Flat parts.-Other Half: 220.6g / 4.3g = 51.30 x 10 = 513 (Approximate) other parts. So the bag should include the pieces to make the 500 grommets like it says. And actually a couple more.Though according to my math the amounts might not match up perfectly acoss the two parts. (You might end up with a couple more of one or the other.)I expect up to maybe a 5 part + or - margin of error with my methodology. But still you should get you the 500 promised from what I see.(I posted pictures of the Weighing and math if you wish to look yourself too.)I have also included a picture next to a USD dime for scale. And the instructions included as a backup for anyone that might of lost them. Though it is so simple it is likely they are not needed after using the tool the first time.In summary the tool is solid feeling and works well. The count of pieces it includes does seem to be right. But the punch that it comes with isn't the best. (Though still works decently for what it is supposed to.) Thank you for reading, hopefully it helps!

Impressive deal
For the price I paid, my expectations were low. I was thoroughly impressed with how well this tool works. The design is very ergonomic and thoughtful. The magnets on each side of the grommet makes it really easy to maneuver. It has multiple adjustments points that can be accessed with an Allen wrench. I was able to produce large banners out of bedsheets for my comrades protesting against the genocide of Gaza. This tool makes banner-making VERY affordable.

Works great
Love it. Was what I wanted at times that a simple grommet would solve the problem. I made a couple curtains in my RV Van with towels, hooks and grommets.

Basic kit
Basic kit. Needs the added hole puncher die. Crimp could be tighter. Has limits on material thickness.
