the rubber web design provides excellent support for the knee to take hard landings.. however, the velco strap at the back is relatively weak and breaks off easily. I will be improvising the design by adding another velcro over lap to prevent it from breaking loose every time i land and had to flex the knees totally.

Only order it if it will be fulfilled by Amazon. If it is offered by Johnson Distributors DO NOT BUY IT. My son is already on his second brace, the first ripped within 2 days. We are hoping it was a defect, but have yet to receive the replacement to determine. Johnson won't replace, and I had to return and reorder. One day shipping request for 2nd brace turned into 5, and had cancel and re-order again. He loved the way it fit and movement allowed before it ripped.

I didn't give enough credence to the reviewers who said these run small. I followed the measuring directions to the letter and fell exactly between the parameters for the S brace (which came with a XS/S sleeve), but it's too small for me. I've managed to get some use out of the brace, but it probably would work better if it fit properly. ALSO: the non-slip tabs on the sleeve that came with the brace caused friction blisters on my leg - so beware of that aspect. Other reviewers said the straps they received didn't stay closed after a few days of use. After reading replies from the company concerning a redesign, I went ahead and ordered expected the new, improved version to come. If that was the new version, it failed as badly as the first one mentioned. I'm currently using another velcro strap to keep the top part of the brace closed so I can use it at all.

crazy enjoy the look and style of it. It hold and supports well, but i have experienced really bad pinching in the back if it isnt in just the perfect position. at times it hurt worse and caused me more pain that my knee without the brace. once in proper place it worked great. Other issue im running into is that after about a month the velcro is starting to not hold as well. the whole design in based on the velcro holding a snug fit but now when I bend down to jump the velcro will pop.

This is much like the Donjoy device, but not same as the one from the company. The straps cut off circulation if you get it on well enough so it doesn't move fron the proper position. The sleeve is generic, just fabric with elastic, no support and slides out of position.
