Bluetooth Car Kit

I bought this a few weeks ago after becoming frustrated with the third set of leads that I’d bought to connect my iPhone to my car stereo. I use my phone for music and Sat nav fairly regularly, but especially on long journeys, and this has worked great for that. The leads are quite long, so would work well in a van or truck, I’ve cable tied them down to the length I need and tucked them out of sight. The microphone unit has three buttons on it, one to accept and end calls (that also makes the Bluetooth discoverable or reconnect if the blue light is flashing rather than one permanent, to confirm that it is connected), then a back and forward button that allows me to skip tracks playing from my iPhone without scrolling away from my Sat nav app to find the music app. The sound quality with the noise inhibiting thingy seems fine to me, my car stereo isn’t the last word in technical prowess, but the music and voice commands both sound fine. The phone dips the music to allow any voice control to come through before resuming the music again. The one quirk, which others mentioned and I have had issues with, although it is down to my car more than the device is that it doesn’t always automatically connect to my phone every time. My car powers up the power plug as soon as the door opens after being unlocked, so the device does connect automatically then, but the break in power whilst starting the engine disturbs the power supply, so the Bluetooth doesn’t always reconnect afterwards. I have noticed that a little patience and pressing the call answer/end button does reconnect the Bluetooth fine though, and it is definitely a quirk that will confuse any Bluetooth connection a little. Overall it is working much better that the various combos of leads that I have tried before and I whole heartily recommend it!

I bought this as the reviews were pretty decent. I didn't expect too much for the price though. I've been very impressed with it. Fitting it was simple, it connects straightaway to the phone every time, and the sound quality is really pretty decent. Even phone calls sound clear and the other party can hear me clearly. I think because the mic is in the unit, it just needs a bit of thought as to where the ideal place will be to get the best possible voice pickup. If the car has an aux port and you're looking for a bluetooth unit, this is a no brainer. I paid full price, there wasn't a discount when I bought it :( and I'm still happy with it.

I bought this as I wanted a permanent usb powered adapter. I previously had one which was rechargeable via usb (not permanent) but didn’t automatically switch off. This device is perfect as I have a usb and aux in the armrest and it just plugs in into the connectors and the controller sits on the dashboard. The cables are more than long enough to reach and I've used small self adhesive cable fixings to secure and keep the cable tidy. When the car switches on it connects to my phone and when I switch it off it disconnects. Perfect. What more can you ask for. With the old rechargeable one, if I forgot to switch it off (often!) I'd be in the house not realising it was still on, so when I recieved a call I couldn’t hear the person on the other end as the Bluetooth adapter was still connected to the car. This one has made my life a lot simpler. The sound quality is clear and people calling can hear me well. Streaming music from Spotify works perfectly and the sound quality is more than sufficient. The only possible negative is the cables look a little thin and flimsy hence only 4 stars. Time will tell how durable they will be.

I bought this for a friend for his car as Christmas gift. And he loved it. I used to have another one which has noise but this one doesn’t have any noise. The call quality and reception all are very good. I’m thinking to get another one in my car to replace the old one.

Fantastic piece of kit. Only one downfall is where the wires join together and split it’s a little weak and needs strengthening. Apart from that fantastic.

Unsure if it was the product or my car but it didn’t work. I had a 2008 Corsa D.
