Does The Job
There are many mattress pads to choose from, but when it was time to replace my old Sunbeam, I chose the most similar new Sunbeam. Obviously we loved the old one and the new is close enough. But it's thinner and lighter with less padding and it's made with cheaper material overall. It does heat up nicely. The dual controllers no longer have the 'stay on' function. I miss it, but most people probably don't need it. You get 10 hrs before it turns itself off.

Cord too short
I haven’t used the mattress cover yet, but when putting it on the bed I realized we cant have both controllers bedside tables. The cord between the two controllers is too short. Granted the bedside tables are high, but you would think there would be more slack.

Not as good as my old one
My old mattress heating pad had independent controls on both sides as well as zones to heat the head, middle and foot of the bed. With my cold feet, that was perfect! Neither this pad nor any others I have looked at have those six heat control zones anymore, just two! I get too warm even on the lowest setting when I just want to warm my feet, so I turn it off. I'm not too thrilled with the preset time that turns it off after a certain number of hours either. I want my old heated mattress pad back again!!!

This will not last long
Well not bad I love a cold room and a warm bed. Unfortunately almost 2 years to the day it has stopped working I wish they still made them to last. I had one in the 70’s that lasted me till I got married and moved out then I don’t know what happened to it. I bet it was less expensive back then as well. I have had 5 of this brand in the last 10 years. Plus 2 blankets does anyone make a quality product anymore?

Finally I can turn down the heat to 64 and still fall asleep in the winters of New Hampshire!
Ahhhhhh! Finally I can turn down the heat to 64 and still fall asleep in the winters of New Hampshire! I've tried union suites but they are a bit of a pain to get in and out of (BTW LL Bean makes a great Union Suite). Electric blankets are nice but remember heat rises and only the blankets and the upper part of you stay warm but the mattress is still cold. Since these heat from below, you can feel the warmth all over. I am 5'9" tall and sleep in a King size bed and I do not feel the cord connection at all. I just took a nap after a good workout and clicked the preheat button and fell asleep in a room at 64 degrees. NICE! Tonight I will try the house at 62 degrees to see how that goes to try to save even more oil!

Good Alternative
Really wanted the Therapeutic model with upper, mid & lower heat zones, but not available right now in King. However, this is a good alternative and seems to provide the needed warmth with dual controls. Hardwired controls that work very well - good backlight without being obtrusive. Like preheat function and provides warmth on contact through bed sheet along with just light thermal blanket as cover (with top sheet).
