What size is the bottom shelf? The length it holds?

The shelves are 48 inches long.

Anyone having the issue when you screw the nuts on the bolts that they are too long to fit snug or am I missing something? thank you

I had to unscrew and reapply some of the bolts as I had them in the right place. Unless the hardware pack is wrong, you’re probably missing something - which wouldn’t be your fault because the directions are like a schematic.
