I have one calf larger than the other. Stretcher is heavy and works well with Capel boots. I feel it was worth the cost.

........with patience. I got these amazing boots for Christmas and LOVE them but I'm cursed with chonky calves, so I got this and the boot stretch spray and got to work. Every day I gave it a turn (as much s i could, sometimes it was just a 1/4 turn), every 2-3 days I took the stretcher out, sprayed them and put the stretcher back. 4 weeks later and here's boot 1. There aren't instructions, play with this before you put it in your boot, you pull up on the handle to adjust the top, push it down to adjust the bottom.

I read a lot of reviews and looked at several pictures before making the decision to invest in a singular $200 boot stretcher. I think I’ve encountered not only bad luck, but received a defective and poorly designed tool. The reviews didn’t joke about just how heavy it is. It weighs in at 6.8 pounds.Please *look closely* at the pictures I’ve attached and you will see it measures in at 14” in length, yet the average woman’s knee high boots are 16”. My boots in the photo are 18”. This means it would take 4 days to stretch leather boots (2 days if you buy two stretcher for $400). Day 1 stretch the lower calf and ankle area. Day two stretch upper calf area. Day 3 and 4 to perform the same on the second boot.Now notice the shaft in one of the photos the mechanism is bent and the pin in the shaft fell out. This caused the stretcher to become stuck in my $400 Frye boots. I had to cut the stitching to remove the boot stretcher. I hope I can find a skilled cobbler capable of sewing them back together.In addition to the bent shaft and pin falling out, I also cut my hand and bleed on my boots because that sharp metal pin on the handle also is falling out. Thank goodness my boots are black and brown leather to hide the blood stains.

I bought a very nice pair of cowboy boots but the shafts were squeezing my calf’s (I’m pretty small, and they were still crazy tight). I took them to the western store & they tried to stretch but it didn’t work. I bought this & put it inside 1 boot. Over the last 5 days I’ve cranked the handle and today the boot fits perfect! Working on the 2nd one now! It’s worth the money if you own boots that need stretching!

I bought this boot stretcher to use in a couple of pair of cowboy boots that were a little tight on my calves, and it has been amazing! Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to wear the boots, but now they are super comfortable
