If you love your vehicle this investment helps to keep her running smoothly for life.
This product is a big improvement over the origional equiptment product. My Pacifica has almost 100K miles and I hope with this addition I can get another 100k out of her. Failure of the origional product could have cost by causing enginefailure. It is not worth taking a chance. The Dorman system is make of all high temp and accurately machined materialsfor perfect allignment on installation and long term performance. Enjoy! A++++++

Good alternative to an inevitable Pentastar problem
Needed a quality replacement for the oil cooler/filter housing on a 2019 Cherokee (KL) 3.2L pentastar v6 with approximately 62k miles on it. It began to leak oil and I elected to replace the assembly to save future trouble.Normally I’m no fan of Dorman but this product looks and functions well for the money (especially compared to the OEM). You do need to transfer the temperature sensor and oil pressure switch over, install new seals for the oil cooler and coolant return connection to the block. (Seals Included) It even came with the upper and lower intake gaskets. The kit is well thought out. Take your time and clean the valley of the block. A fluid evacuator during removal could minimize the mess and use of tons of towels to clean up the oil/coolant that inevitably comes with breaking the connection between the block and cooler assembly. I still recommend pinching off the coolant hose to the cooler.Initial fit went well but, watch the threaded holes for the cooler in the block. If they fill with coolant or oil, it can hydrolock the bolt and cause you to strip out the hole. Clean the threaded holes prior to installing. The more time you clean, the less second guessing you’ll do after everything is back together. Good luck out there!

This Should Have Been The OEM
Perfect fit replacement for my 2013 Chrysler 200 V6.Love that this came with all the gaskets and oil filter included, so there isn't anything else you need to buy.If you are doing this, its also a good time to maybe replace your spark plugs (and maybe coils).NOTE: This will require a different oil filter than the one for the 2013 Chrysler 200. There is a little plate on the oil filter cap that has which models are required, but this can be hard to see especially with the engine cover on. If you don't do your own oil changes, you might want to make sure you let the service techs know of this. They make the cap orange to help it stand out.The quality of all the parts is great. No need to try and flatten parts, or get rid of burs. Dropped right in, and included everything you need to do the job.

Very good product for the price
I'm giving this 5 stars at present because so far, with only about 50 miles and about maybe an hour on it since the install, it appears there's no leaks. I've read some not so good reviews on the Dorman version of this oil filter/cooler unit and have read some good ones. Before the installation, I did a very thorough inspection of this unit BECAUSE of some complaints I'd read about concerning poor quality and machining. Well, I found no issues, no poor machining, no "burrs", no rough edges or any other potential flaws or issues. I checked all flat surfaces with a straight edge and all were/are dead flat with no bridging, concave or convex appearances. Some complain that the oil cooler needs to be assembled to the oil filter housing prior to installing the unit as a whole. Yes, SO WHAT! Big deal! I actually prefer that kind of scenario. You get to see the fit and finish of those two components prior to the install. And, by doing it yourself, you determine the actual torque of the fasteners, not anyone else. 'Nough said. I installed all O-rings and seals per any instructions, made dang sure all surfaces were sparkling clean and then installed the complete unit into the engine valley with the supplied fasteners. I evenly torqued all fasteners in the appropriate pattern all the way to the final torque spec.So far, I'm very happy with this Dorman aluminum oil filter/cooler housing. Time will tell.

Easy Install
I had to replace the oil filter housing on my 2017 Wrangler, and my family mechanic recommended going with this aluminum one over the factory plastic version. I was a little nervous since it was my first time doing this kind of repair, but it actually went really smoothly. The part feels solid and well-made—definitely a big step up in quality. Everything lined up perfectly, and the install wasn’t hard at all once I took my time and followed some basic guides. So far, no leaks and it's running great. If you’re replacing yours and want something more durable, this is a great choice. Glad I listened to the advice—I’d definitely buy it again.

Awesome Oil Coolor Housing for any Pentastar Engnine; 3.2L or 3.6L v6
There’s like a 95% chance you’re looking at this because your oil cooler housing on your Mopar with the Pentastar is either failing, cracked, or leaking. All in all, this is a fantastic upgrade that I seriously wished was from the factory. Installation was absolutely painful for beginners or those who aren’t too mechanically inclined, but is definitely worth doing the change.Anyways, the Dorman oil cooler housing is metallic instead of the OEM plastic, which is rather obvious given that the OEM one is black and metal being metal, is silver. Oil pressure is the same, functions really smoothly, and fits exactly the same as a new OEM oil cooler housing from Mopar. Now the caveats were that the included seals were and are trash, so I went and got the OEM seals for it, same goes for the included oil filter.Installed on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee KL Limited V6 4x4 and after running it for over two months now, this was easily one of the best maintenance things I’ve ever done.

Perfect replacement
Got this for preventative maintenance while fixing the pentastar tick. Instructions were easy, installation was easier, build quality is fantastic. No leaks, those experiencing those more than likely forgot one of the included gaskets during installation. Would recommend over OEM
