I am so glad Santa brought this for my 10 year old daughter
I am so glad Santa brought this for my 10 year old daughter. I was skeptical to give him permission to send it. I didn't know much about these toys, and the cat seemed really cute and well rated. This guy is fantastic. It is like he really loves my daughter! (I know, that's ridiculous, but it is happiness)They are great friends and they have fun together. He's even kind of snuggly since he is so affectionate. I am terrified of dogs so there is not a way we will ever get one as a family, and she asked for this guy. I am so glad Santa delivered him.Works really well, works as expected. My 10 year old could get him going all by herself. He's quite cute.

OMG!!!!! Got this for my ...
OMG!!!!! Got this for my nine year old daughter because it was on her Christmas list. I really had no clue about it but got it for her anyway. As soon as she got it going I was in total awe. It is the cutest, smartest robot toy I've seen in a long time. He does tricks, senses when he's about to run into something and even raises a leg to relieve himself. He keeps us entertained with his cuteness and noises and can't wait to teach him new tricks.

Nothing more than a souped up tamagotchi of the mid 90's
My 6yr old grandaugther loved it for a few days and then quickly became annoyed with it. The toy is a lot of fun and does just about everything it says it does - but only for 30 minutes! After 30 minutes, you have to recharge it again for 1 hour. I don't know about you but my granddaughter is the type that once she gets a new toy she wants to just play with that for hours and hours. Unfortunately, no sooner does she start to figure out something new it can do, then it dies and she has to recharge it again. She has grown frustrated with playing with it and now only uses it sparingly. Normally I would be upset spending that kind of money on something so frivolous but she does use it - for the limited time she has.I does do cute little tricks but personally, I think It is really nothing more than a souped up tamagotchi of the mid 90's.My recommendations are:1) if you don't mind having to wait 1 hour to charge just to play with it for 30 minutes (which goes by quickly when trying to learn the commands) - then go for it.2) If there is a chance that a new and improved will come out in the future where the recharge time will last longer- wait for it.3) I would definitely wait until after the holidays. I think once the word gets out the price is going to drop a bit.So, it is a fun little toy. I do think kids of all ages will enjoy it - I just would think twice if I had it to do over again.

Much cuter than I expected
I had been putting off buying this for my niece even though she's been dying for one for years, simply because the reviews on it when if first came out weren't very good. I finally broke down and got it and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Zoomer is a rather cute toy. He moves remarkably realistically for being a robot dog on wheels. He seems to be pretty durable all things considered and has held up to an enormous amount of play since his Christmas morning debut. He responds well, and has a whole host of tricks and special "hidden" features.Pro/con depending on your view point. I like that he has to be "taught" his commands and tricks, like a real puppy. He doesn't automatically do them all on the first try. I like this because it extends the novelty of the toy... My niece is still super excited to let us all know Zoomer has learned a new trick, and which one she plans to teach him next. Some commands take longer to "teach" than others. He learned to "follow" on Christmas day, but almost a month later still doesn't have "roll over" quite mastered. He is very interactive though, and seems to have a little personality of his own which has just delighted me 7yr old niece. My only real complaint about the toy is his battery life. He charges via a USB cable plugged into a wall charger or computer (charger not included), and takes about an hour to charge fully. The real issue is that his fully charged battery is only good for about half an hour of continuous play before he has to go on the charger again. If you have a very excited, dog obsessed child, like my niece, be prepared to do A LOT of charging.

Cool toy, not really worth $100 in my opinion though. This is what my son said he wanted to his birthday, so I bought it for him. He played with it for about 10 minutes, and hasn't picked it up since. I had a little entertainment terrorizing the felines in the household with this though.

My 5 year old loves it. There's definitely a learning curve to this little thing but he's pretty much got it now (he's played with it a total of about 6 times).Cons:The language switch should not be located directly next to the power switch. 5yo can't quite tell the difference.I wish the battery lasted longerPros:Voice recognition is surprisingly good (assuming he hasn't accidentally set it to french while trying to turn it on), even for my 5yo boy who slurs his words a bitBattery lasts about 20-30 minutes (pretty good for all that's going on with this little robot)Works pretty good on carpet, but it works great on tile/hardwoodOverall I would highly recommend this little puppy, especially if you have a kid that wants a dog but can't.

Terrible. Way too expensive for what it does
Terrible. Way too expensive for what it does, particularly because it does it so poorly. My daughter had real problems getting it to follow her commands, and she was doing it just right. Definitely a disappointment, but we returned it so it wasn't a complete disaster. :)

family fun!
I purchased this for a Christmas gift for my 5 year old. After reading lots of reviews on the Zoomer Puppy and watching review videos I made the purchase. I think its something the whole family is going to enjoy playing with! Its still in the box so I can't get a through review of all its actions and how well a 5 year old is able to do the commands. After Christmas I will try and update this with a better review!
