Shockingly powerful and quiet
As a career metal sculptor who grinds and grinds for long continuous days, I’m giving this 1 hp Aircat Five stars, (even though there is a serious problem) because these grinders are shockingly powerful and quiet. I think they even compare to electric die grinders and have similar, or better, power; depending on which brand they are compared to, and how good your air supply is. I can really dig with a 4” cutting wheel or a large carbide burr and it’s stays strong. Currently, I have 3 of these. The problem? the trigger sucks for long use. They call it a feather trigger but it’s really stiff compared to other paddle triggers. After 5 minutes it’s uncomfortable and after an hour it’s impossible: and that’s from a fellow who has spent many years building up the muscles and stamina to grind for long periods.So... I extended the trigger up the whole side of the grinder where the leverage allows me to use it easily and I can also hold it down with my upper thumb when needed.Having done that modification, I really couldn’t be happier with these grinders.(I’m the type who hates the flow loss when I have to change the grinding wheel or burr or abrasive. That’s why I have three, and I have a few dozen other types too. It makes a lot of sense to me to buy a grinder for each abrasive, wheel, disc, burr, etc. I try to buy the best of the less expensive options, rather than buy a dotco or snap on, and have to change the wheel out all the time)Jacob Dean

By far the best I’ve used
More power torque than any other air grinder I’ve ever used! This is such a great grinder we are considering replacing our 20+ electric die grinders in the shop with these. Quiet too! The only down side is, as another reviewer said, the paddle does cause fatigue with extended use. Read his review for the solution

Power and durability
Been using 2 years in a diesel shop. Never stalled it or broke it. It just works. Used with various attachments such as dies, cutting wheels, flap wheels… Trigger handle works well at varying air flow.

Solid, well-built tool. Everything it claims.
It felt a little heavy at first, but it got comfortable immediately when it was time to put it to work. I think the second thing I noticed after the heft was the nameplate and serial number. It seems like a mark of craftsmanship that I don't expect to find anymore. I was concerned about the short throw of the paddle at first, but throttling with it feels really natural and not that difficult. I will say that the throttle position and speed kind of bounced around as it vibrated and tried to run away while I was wire wheeling, but that's probably something that can be overcome with practice, changing my grip, or using both hands. Overall I'm absolutely satisfied. Good tools are worth gold, and this is it.

Great product
Needed a higher power die-grinder and this fit the bill.Easy to hang on to, well put together so it doesn't vibrate excessively and can be used for extended periods of time.Great power to do heavy-duty jobs like polishing or buffing. The down side is the trigger ... kind of a strange design that makes it difficult to vary the speed after a while of using it. Nothing huge, but it's more of a switch than a trigger.

Better than the other Red One
Power to take on the most demanding job, not a fan of the paddle though.

Great tool
Great grinder, lots of power and not too loud either. I use it all the time as a HD mechanic and fabricator. I've used this in comparison to a Snap On grinder with the same power, and I always end up grabbing the Aircat. After 1 year of heavy use it feels like it did the day I got it. My co workers have followed along and are now using air cat grinders. Highly recommend especially for the price.

Absolute best bang for the $
I put a 4" wire brush on it. The noise of the brush rotation makes more noise then the tool itself.Slim and longer great for 2 hand operation
