is the soft top cleaner water based ?

It used to be that it was put on neat with a wet sponge, now it says to mix it with water. I still put it on with a wet sponge and soak the sponge with water to build a lather on the roof, works really well. I also leave it on for an hour as that gets rid of all the algae.

can this be used on a 2006 mini convertible roof please?

Hi, You can use the soft top kit on any fabric hooded car (e.g. mohair, double duck, fabric or canvas fabric hoods), for vinyl roofs we recommend using a normal shampoo with no additives such as Foaming Car Wash or UHD Shampoo and then protect with Bumper & Trim Gel. Can I buy just the wayer proofer?

Yes, but I wouldn't, the cleaner is much better than anything else I have used. Gets a lot deeper into the material without damaging it. Make sure to rinse well

Waterproofing

This is an easy product to I use and seems to be effective. The water forms droplets on the hood and they run off rather than soaking in. Pleased with this product. I use it after the soft top cleaner.

Great product, used couple of times in the past. Simple to use, easy to follow instructions, depending on how dirty your roof is, you might want to leave it overnight covered with the cleaner on before applying the protector. Good price for the set, cheaper than Halfords
