Works well and compares nicely with Kovea adaptor
I have this and the Kovea adaptor. This one is much lighter which is a consideration for bikers and backpackers. This one does not have the adjustment screw like the Kovea. But when I turn the screw in the Kovea, I don't notice any change in the stove's flame so the absence of the screw may be meaningless. I had no problem screwing this on and off a can of propane. Both this unit and the Kovea are a little hard to get started but that's partly because you're inserting the "needle" into the propane can to access the gas as you screw it on. There is a tiny puff of gas that is emitted when you unscrew it - obvious by the chemical odor in the gas for safety. I haven't used it a lot, but I like it just fine. It's cheaper and lighter than the Kovea but works just the same. I haven't tried it with all of my stoves yet but it worked without modification using my Jetboil MicroMo burner. The Kovea required a slight amount of drilling using a 1/8th inch drill bit to have sufficient clearance for the Jetboil to seat firmly on it. This one required no drilling. I like them both.

These work and are quality made
This is a simple adapter that allows you to take the 1 pound Coleman type propane and use them on devices and stoves that are generally for the isobutane canisters. What you really need to be aware of is that the screw on threading needs to be quality or they won't work or it might be dangerous to use. I have tried other brands listed at the same cost and they haven't had the right thread and so I threw them away. I have bought 3 of these adapters now, tested all of them, and each has worked great. Remember that some stoves or devices may burn out or break because they weren't supposed to use this type of propane but for those that do this is a great choice for redundancy or simplifying the fuel that you want to use.

Works as advertised
I am using this adapter to convert an isobutane canister stove to a propane canister. DISCLAIMER: This is NOT recommended practice, do so at your own risk. So far it's doing what it claims to do and I get to cook less expensively while camping (I am refilling my 1lb propane canisters-another NO-NO...but that's a different review...). This adapter is very light and the only thing I'd recommend is that you make sure everything is sufficiently screwed on tight so the gas flows. First time I tried I did not get the gas to flow, the valves have these safety devices (imagine that...) and apparently it requires that you install the adapter rather tightly. After one trial and error (mine, totally) it works great, for me.

Works for what it is intended. Recommend some hand protection.
Bought this adapter after getting a small camping stove and realizing it did not fit one of those 1 lb propane canisters. Delivery was supposed to take two days, but that wasn't the case (long story; bottom line, couldn't use it for what I wanted). Originally, I had bought a 4-pack of the propane canisters. When I attached the adapter to one of them and turned on the stove, nothing happened. I thought of returning the item after several tries, but I tried attaching it to another canister. As I was attaching it, I realized that my hand was actually hurt (skin peeled) from attaching/detaching the adapter to/from the previous canister. Using a small towel, I was able to have a better grip and attach it super tightly. The stove turned on so I put it to the test right away by boiling some water to make some coffee. The flow of gas was good, but it had occasional hiccups (but that could be the camping stove, who knows). Another review said you had to be Hulk to use this adapter. I agree with it to some extent. You at least need something to protect your hand/grip. Otherwise, pretty good alternative for the price.

Very handy, and take up very little space.
These adapters allow me to use my gas stoves on Coleman type 16.1 oz bottles, instead of the more expensive bottle they're designed to fit. They seem very solid, and well made, and look like they will last forever, if taken care of. I use the adapter with the tiny fold up gas stoves, and I use the Stansport bottle support with the fold out legs, to give good support to the gas bottle. Even though the support, bottle, and stove end up being a little tall, it seems to be solid and steady, even with a heavy pan of water on the stove. I'm very happy with these adapters, and they do the job without leaking gas, or making the stove work differently than using the small, expensive gas cans. I also have a refill adapter to fill the 16.1 oz cylinders, which makes stove operation that much cheaper, and also avoids having to dispose of the empty cylinders. All around, a win, win situation. When you use these adapters, screw them onto the stove first, and then screw the combined stove, and adapter onto the gas cylinder. This avoids the possibility of a gas leak, which you might get if you screw the adapter onto the gas cylinder first. If you don't mind carrying the slightly heavier 16.1 oz bottles, the adapters will really work well with your stove, and will be very economical at the same time.

Insect repellent fuel adapter
This adapter works great for my insect repellent burner so I can use the larger cans of fuel. I have not had any issues with gas leaking or it coming apart as it is very well built.

My second review......
This is my second review because I keep buying them. I purchased another, bigger name ( think of a Canadian tree) and had issues right away. The other products broke quickly (stem breaking off in the can) and sometimes they won't work from can to can (propane tanks). I didn't think this was possible until a caught myself repurchasing adapter after adapter. This is simply THE BEST ADAPTER that I've used... and I use the crap out of it/them.

a very useful adaptor.
I love toys. I am the guy the stores clutter their counter for. So, when I saw this new toy, I thought, 'what the [bleep], it's only a few bucks so no big loss.' I bought a few of these because I like to own back-ups. I camp with my JetBoil which I LOVE and as a back-up, my MSR Whisperlite because I dislike cooking in my JetBoil. So, I tossed one of these into my Whisperlite box. Fast forward to a camping trip. One of my daughter's friends asked me to take her kayak-camping for a week so I asked her to bring all her gear over so I could be certain that she had it all and it would fit into the kayak I was loaning her. She got angry, argued that she had done it before so there was no need and in the end, she brought over the bare minimum with an 'i told you so' attitude. I relented to shut her up and when we arrived at Lake Roosevelt, monsoon and fire season, I discovered a lot of stupid things she did. like bring a clean bra for each day. Seven of them. And assuming that big tear in her tent floor was ok. It leaked and flooded her tent. She DID buy a dual-fuel Whisperlite on my recommendation and even brought the liquid-fuel hose. Unused, of course. BUT.... The only fuel she brought were four 1# green cans of Coleman Propane with the 1" fitting that did NOT fit the EN-417 fitting on the MSR Stove. That meant that she would have to share my fuel cans which put me at a risk of running out early. Then, I remembered my own Whisperlite! I opened the case in which I stored the stove and removed the adaptor I had tossed in and handed it to her. Success! The trip was saved and she could now cook her meals on her own stove with her own fuel. The local marina sold Propane for Colemans but not the iso-pro for the smaller stoves so I was glad I had a few of these stuffed in with each of my canister stoves. It is for reasons like this that I do these impulse buys.

Doesn’t fit any gas bottle I can find
Had high hopes for this! Thought I’d be able to extend the range of gas bottles I can use with my Jetboil. It fits jetboil but I’ve been to 3 big camping stores in the uk and no one can work out what this adapter is meant to work with. A complete waste of money!

Works as described
Worked as described for me with a Jetboil minimo stove. If you hurt yourself using this, you are probably someone who should not be modifying things. For everyone else, this is a great little device.

Allows backpacking stove to run off 1lb. propane bottle
This adapter allows me to use my backpacking stove with a 1lb propane bottle, when car camping or other times when I don't want to use a smaller, lighter isobutane canister. The check valve allows me to connect it to the propane bottle before connecting the stove, and remove the stove before taking the adapter off the propane bottle. Isobutane stove works well on propane. It's a great way to make the stove multi-fuel and multi-use.
