Auto Idle Stop Start Eliminator/Delete/Disable/Disabler/Canceller, for Toyota RAV4 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025, Automatic Stop Start Engine System Cancel Device

I installed this device on my 2020 RAV4. I followed the steps in the video and was easily able to get into the dash and plug the device in. It works perfectly and I no longer have to press the stupid button every time I start my car.

These work on the 2025 model year which is what I have. Works as it should. These things have been around for a while. It’s essentially just a capacitor that acts as a button push, which is why it takes a couple of seconds to work after starting your car. Don’t rip your whole center console and dash apart. Take the included spudger and pry the climate control out. Then look above where the switch is, there is a little cutout where you can insert the spudger and push the switch needed out. Unplug, then install the bypass device. When you reassemble the bypass device is a tight fight, but pushing it in with some force will work without breaking anything. Test first before putting back together. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive when prying the climate control out (or any automotive panels for that matter). You do more harm when trying to be careful than using a quick motion with force. The plastic clips will be fine. Cheap and simple solution for a “feature” nobody asked for.

Don’t spend $100 on the up charged units. They all do the same thing. The small circuit in the middle simply “presses” the button upon start up. This does not draw any sort of power on its own, simply a relay. My only gripe is when using remote start, having to restart the car since Toyota shuts off when the door is opened, sometimes the unit doesn’t reset by the time I turn the car back on. Small inconvenience, no fault of the manufacturer.

Worked fine . . . .for 3 months. Suddenly quit working.

Literally took 5 minutes to install with the pry tool. Absolute plug and play, and keeps the start / stop dash indicator light on, and keeps the engine running when the vehicle is stopped. Five stars!!!

Previously installed a similar version on 2018 Highlander and had to disassemble dash for install. This kit came with tools remove console however I was able to use a slightly different (narrower with curved tip) and pop the switch out and only car part that was required to be removed was air controll unit which was extremely easy to remove and resinstall. I had to force the rectangular control box into the switch hole but it was literally plug and play. There's absolutely no reason Toyota don't reverse the logic or have that option available at dealership as the wear and tear on starter and battery will have to surface at some point. Total install time was less than three minutes as I had planned for an hour install. 5/20/2025With new EPA boss actually having common sense this whole issue might disappear in future model. Update on my unit as IT STILL WORKS PERFECTLY. Went back today to order another unit for a friend for a 2025 model and first review mentioned the removal of only the air control unit for the install. Hopefully the 2025 is the same as my 2023 and if so I am expecting a 10 minute install.

Works great but you don't need the wrench. Just pop out the main temperature control, unplug it and set it aside. Use the little plastic prybar to pop the button out from behind. Plug the disabler inline to the back of the switch and push the button back into place. It took less than 5 minutes to install.

Works fine, but the plastic pry tool wasn't included. Note: If you turn the car off and immediately restart it, it won't work. It needs a little time to reset. Other than that works as advertised.

Works perfectly on my RAV4. Easy to install if you know how just remove the aircon panel. It only took me about 4 minutes. Note: if you turn it off and restart immediately, it won’t work. The system needs at least 30 seconds of rest each time before restarting.

I installed this on my 2024 Toyota rav4, it was easy to install with the included tools, every time I start the car, this electronic device turns off the auto Start / stop feature. If you allow the car to constantly shut off when you come to a stop, and then start the engine back up, you are really shortening the life of you starter motor. The starter motor is an expensive item and difficult to replace, requiring lots of shop hours. The amount of money in gas that you might save, if you allow engine to stop at every red light, is such a small fraction compared to the cost of parts and labour to replace the starter motor when it fails.

Installed this device to get away from constantly resetting the START STOP feature. Easy to install after watching the U Tube video. Works fine, and no more resetting the button on every startup.
