Absolutely classic movie! Watched this at the cinema a few times and loved the cheese every time! It quickly gets the story going after a young girl escapes from a lab. We soon find out that she is not all she seems when she transforms into a woman over night! A crack team of scientists and a special forces tracker is assembled to find the girl. Michael Madsen stands out as the cool Preston Lennox (bad ass name!), the non scientist. Natasha Henstrige Plays Sil, the alien, in a very seductive way! She is the definition of a sexual predator! My favourite character was Stephen Arden played by Alfred Molina. Only because he seemed so out of place!

Good movie. Had a few sequels, but this was the best one of the bunch really by quite some distance. Second one was interesting, then the series trailed off dramatically. Pleased to have the first one on Blu Ray as a Sci Fi fan and at a budget price was well worth snapping up.

picture and sound good, better than i remember it being. great value. if all old movies could be made like this its worth replacing your older standard dvds.

Never going to be an Oscar winning sci-fi movie, despite the involvement of H R Giger, as his "species" creation is pretty awful. A long way short of his wonderful efforts in "Alien". That said, two things stand out for me. Firstly, the 5.1 "Lossless" audio is brilliant, particularly if you have a surround sound system. Secondly, the lovely Natasha Henstridge!!! Two audio commentaries and two featurettes included, although they are nothing special. Could be compared to Tobe Hooper`s "Lifeforce" movie.

One of my favourite sci fi films with alien designs by hr giger(rip) and the gorgeous natasha henstridge as sil.Great acting by forest whitaker,michael madsen and ben kingsley,it has a good story with some scary/horror scenes,if you liked the fly,the fly 2 and the alien series you should enjoy this film.

Soy fan del cine de terror de los años 90's y cuando supe que Shout Factory había restaurado el clásico de 1995 "Species" en formato 4K Ultra HD, la compré de inmediato.Se ve espectacular mejor que nunca, con una calidad de imagen fuera de serie, lo mejor es que si llego con Slipcover, el único inconveniente es que no trae subtítulos en español.Llegó rápido y en perfectas condiciones aunque la enviaron en una bolsa, en vez de una caja de cartón, dado lo delicado del material en Plástico.

One of the best science fiction - action film, loaded with really great actors, Natasha Henstridge was great, her character is one of the best ever science fiction has had on film

Species es hoy por hoy uno de los clásicos del cine de ciencia ficción. Este blu-ray no es una edición coleccionista o súper cuidada pero la película se ve bien y es una buena oportunidad de conservar para siempre un clásico así.

Bonne qualité d'image et bon son. Le scénario est bon, les acteurs également, le suspens est au rendez vous et il y a de l'action avec un bon rythme soutenu tout au long du film. Certes on atteint pas la dimension d'un film comme Alien mais on passe un très bon moment. De plus pour couronner le tout, La Mutante est d'une beauté époustouflante mais dangereuse...Un très bon film.
