Was a perfect fit for kitchen, price was good, easy to install, working great

Love it
I have a mid century apartment and original fittings are both hard to find and very expensive. This was a great and cheap replacement to a shade that was broken many years ago. I ended up buying 4 and using 3. Now I have a spare and all cheaper than the cost of locating an original.

Doesn't fit
The globe certainly fits into the fixture, so it's the correct size, but the lip is too narrow, so even when the three retaining screws are run all the way in, the globe will drop out of the fixture.

Buy longer set screws
The cover is fine but if you have short set screws (1/2 inch) buy new longer ones. I needed M4s and I got them extra long at 20MM. Even though it says 6 inch fitter thats the diameter of the fixture. The original screws were too short for comfort and may not have worked at all. Both this new cover and the original one I broke are 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Longer screws made it a breeze. It will be easier to change bulbs and avoid breaking the cover again.

Finally.
Took forever to find the right diameter. This was almost too small. The supporting screws are all the way in and probably should tighten further. Otherwise it is glass. It’s sturdy. It’s white. If you’re looking for six inches, this is perfect for you.
