This ma’amoul mold was a new kitchen tool for me. I got it to add to my little collection of cookie and butter molds. It’s different from my other molds: none of them has a handle. I looked it up to find out how to use it, and learned that “ma’amoul” is a terrific date (or pistachio, or walnut) filled shortbread cookie. You dust the mold with flour, then press cookie dough around the sides; then you press in a little ball of the filling; then you level off the molded cookie with more dough. Then, you turn the mold cookie-side down, and Thwack! it flat (on a floured surface or piece of parchment) to unmold it. Well, okay!So this cookie mold is a lot of fun to use, and works well. The only thing is, it can take awhile for me, as a newbie, to process a whole batch of these delicious cookies. The only solution is to get more of these molds, and invite friends over for a cookie-thwacking party. That could definitely be fun. Five stars.

This wooden cookie mold maker worked really well for us. I like the workmanship of the wooden cookie maker.It is also easy to release the cookies, just make sure that you put some oil in the cookie area before adding your cookie dough.The cookie mold is also easy to wash in the kitchen sink.Worked well for us.
