Few are the tools that actually do everything they claim well. I have used for marking metal, wood and believe it or not mill finish plastic. And they are an updated version of the old lead holders and as such u can buy any 2mm lead and use in them. The one draw back if it is. Is that switching and keeping lead in a shop environment though with a little organization and for thought that isn't a problem. Good product!

Ease of swapping refills.

It was an accurate purchase

Does not work on oily, carbonated steel. No color sticks out. Just a dark mark on the material. I will still use since i can still see it.

I was looking for some grease pencils that I could use to mark on plastic. These came up and I got them. They do not work for what I want, but they seem to be nice mechanical "colored" pencils. They do write on rough metal surfaces, which seems to be what they are advertised for. So if that's what you need, give it a shot--these should work for you.

Pencils all broke with in 1 week. Been taking peices from all to fix 1.

Only one set of the lead will leave a mark on metal that can really be seen

Cheap and work well

I had hoped this set of pencils would have been better quality, unfortunately, the screw fitting is only plastic, not brass.I would not buy this set again.
