ACDelco Gold 334-2212 Alternator, Remanufactured (Renewed)

Went from stock to this 200 A alternator. It seems 06 mustang have a grounding problem and blow batteries and alternators in some cases. I read up on the Ford mustang forum on how to fix that problem, by adding a secret switch in the glove box, and upgrading the battery cable (+) to 600 strand tinned boat cable and added a 200 A mini fuse holder to the firewall. Down to a electric switch that is good for 100,000 times use from china. Added an 8 ga tinned cable from alt, and another bigger to frame hole without having to drill. Car battery was dead after driving till I read up on the problem. You had to switch the system off in the GBox after driving , as there are at least 3 fuse boxes on this car, and troubleshooting was beyond my scope . But this worked. Put switch in left upper GBox area , couldn't be seen even when open hardly. Just turn on before starting, and turn off after you're done driving. No more problems and instead of a 165 it was now a 200 A system for stronger power to even add accessories. Can't go into it here, but cars still running great.

Was amazed the quality of the reman. All wires and internals look new. The finish on the case is like brand new. Installed and charges at 14.5.. I'm very pleased and so is my classic car! 67 Charger with 1970's electrical upgrade.

Pulley is not gold anodized as pictured, just a dull silver.. The red fan blade inside had paint knocked off the edges and would have rusted quickly (exactly the same as a Carquest one I tried first), I touched it up with model paint.. Some of the small screws looked like they had been replaced with lower grade hardware, I replaced the long screws holding the case halves together with stainless ones..

So far it's working well, I installed it in an 87 Dodge truck... D 150...

This alternator corrected a voltage fluctuation problem that I was blaming on a voltage regulator. It has gone a few thousand miles with no problems. While the part has worked well for its intended purpose, it is not a restoration part, since ACDelco is printed on the housing, and the output terminal is metric.

It worked until yesterday. Alternator just stopped charging the battery after 6 months.
