The Flowering of Human Consciousness: Everyone's Life Purpose (Power of Now)

After reading both The Power of Now and A New Earth, I wanted to see and hear Eckhart Tolle deliver his message. This two DVD set (3 1/2 hours in length with professional production technique) is both a great stand alone introduction to his teaching and an excellent supplement to his books. In addition to presenting his teaching in a very simple and direct way, Tolle demonstrates a wonderful sense of humor. His smile and laughter are infectious. His unique ability to make fun of our small, egocentric, sense of self (that we take way too seriously) may help some to see beyond it to what he refers to as Being, Presence, Spaciousness, and Stillness. I see Tolle as a modern prophet bringing an ancient, spiritual message to a world in desperate need of it. Because he was born and came of age in the West, his teachings lack some of the esoteric cultural forms unique to the East. My particular area of interest and practice is Zen Buddhism and I find Tolle's presentation more accessible and helpful than what is found in the writings of many of the Zen Masters from Japan, China, Korea, and Southeast Asia. I highly recommend this DVD set to those who currently practice meditation or other spiritual disciplines, as well as to those who, for whatever reasons, find themselves drawn to Tolle. You will not be disappointed.

I think of Eckhart Tolle as required reading for those of us on a spiritual quest. Also enjoy listening to his presentations. He has that quality that is powerful and fey at the same time. As a soul who has e xperienced pain and suffering sharply, I can take his wisdom in without tightening up against his words. Thank you Eckhart Tolle, you have helped me enormously.

Eckhart Tolle goes through and explains the state of egoic consciousness as is it now exists on this planet and has existed for thousands of years. He explains how to gradually free yourself from the egoic mind patterns that bind you to your past conditioning. I found the whole talk very very helpfull.

I have tried to meditate for years, and this DVD by Echkart Tolle was the ticket. If you have trouble meditating, I would strongly suggest that you get this DVD for your own since I like to revisit it every once and awhile. What an inspiring teacher Eckhart Tolle is.

Eckhart Tolle might be the smartest choice for everybody who wants to expand into bigger and better things in life. The man is a genius (and very funny too, as in humor....) and this DVD shows him at his absolute best

I haven't even watched both dvd's yet, but as always, Eckhardt Tolle is incredible! I had a stressful week and spent some time watching the dvd, and it really helped me "get back on track", with that sense of inner peace. It's great knowing that I can watch it whenever I need to.

Eckhart's skill of staying present and thereby allowing the most articulate words to flow as explanation is unmatched. We are so blessed to have him dedicate his life to enhance our understanding and aid our awakening. Truly wonderful.

I totally agree with the other reviewer,and there's nothing much else I can add except for me when watching and listening to Eckhart I have the uncanny feeling that it is the teaching of the Buddha and the Christ coming through in a modern day setting,clear and simple,but at the same time difficult for the Ego to swallow. At first I had this problem,but I kept at it and rewatched it several times,each time I do,a fresh understanding whispers through my Being,beyond thought and I awaken more and more.I feel more alive and loving. I know Eckhart is teaching the truth as I have had previous experiences of being awake many years ago but I became lost again smothered by the Ego,the false sense of self.I wanted that loving presence back but I didn't get it back until now,even though I researched everywhere,trying through meditation,teachers, everything you can find.Spent a small fortune. However I found Ramana Maharshi recently and read his books but had problems again because of Ego and old ideas.He is quite right like Eckhart Tolle but I couldnt get it,you won't either understand this form of teaching with mind unless you surrender to the NOW as Eckhart says,become the stillness of your presence. Dont listen to your mind when and if you buy this,let it sink in over a while. Eckhart Tolle gives pointers to your real Being in such a clear way that your Essence does respond I can promise you,and you will be changed forever,you will fulfill your lifes purpose.It is a NOT belief system but a feeling system. This is one pointer on the DVD that tore open the veil for me,it literaly blew my mind mind away: "your real Essence,which is the same as the Essence of the Universe is the canvas on which the phenominal life is painted" He delivers this with so much feeling,because it comes from his own experience,not through book learning. Eckhart Tolle is set to become a very important figure in the world but that won't affect his ego at all, because he hasn't got one to identify with!. Buy this wonderful DVD,its priceless actually....

I love this man anyway, but this is a particularly good cd. I laugh out loud in several places aswell as being in my usual state of awe when listening to this amazing man. I listen to Eckhart in the car and alternate between him and Wayne Dyer. I love the balance of these 2 guys.

This DVD is excellent choice for persons that looking for something more in life. It will guide you through you deepest nature, and show you where to find peace, calm and happiness. Brilliant DVD. Thank you Eckhart Tolle :)

I really did enjoy this DVD in fact I loved it but I must confess I am a little biased as I am a big fan of Mr Tolle.
