The carrier board worked great. I liked the placement of the ethernet port and GPIO ports. I would buy this again since it has a very small footprint.

Bought this to flash an OS to a CM4 with storage on it, for my Cyberdeck. one thing I would recommend buying is a nylon stand-off and screw kit, since there's a bit of play and wobble with this, when a CM4 is connected. Putting a screw with head facing the back of a CM4, with a Nut Spacer where needed, helps eliminate that wobble and increases its rigidity. Also, if you want to get fancy, then you can even fashion an acrylic top and bottom for this. just for added protection. Which I think I will do. As for function, this worked as advertised and was easy to use to flash Rasbian to my CM4 and then slap that in my Cyberdeck from Clockwork Pi. This is not only a lesser expensive option from the official Raspberry offering, but also doesn't require weird jumper combos and whatnot.

Just make sure you enable the USB2.0 per the CM4 guide otherwise the USB port will not work, USB is disabled on the CM4 by default.

Works as advertised and no issues over 6 months running strong.

I purchased multiple versions of this board. I have the boot in the off position (boot from SD), and an hdmi cable plugged in. When i connect the usb-c power cable to turn on the system, the PCB does NOT TURN ON! The only reasonable solution is to supply power to the board with the HDMI unplugged, look for the LEDs to light up, then rapidly plug in the HDMi. This is not the case for the raspberry pi IO Board (same CM4 and SD card). This is a design oversight. I send multiple questions to waveshare without a resolution...

I bought my CM4 Nano baseboard from another online store but I thought I would leave a review here for anyone who might find the info useful. I needed to test my Orange Pi CM4 with a Raspberry pi baseboard to figure out if it's compatible and I decided to go with this one because it wasn't overly expensive and had a unique form factor compared with other baseboards. I went with the B model, if you're curious. I tested all of the different ports and I'm happy to report that the important ones all seem to work perfectly. HDMI, USB, and Ethernet are all fully functional. I have not been able to get the headphone jack to work and the SD slot doesn't seem to work as expandable storage but the OS boots fine from SD if your CM4 doesn't have EMMC. Apparently, the headphone jack is routed to different pins on the RPi CM4 than on my Orange Pi. Not a huge deal IMO since it has Bluetooth and I only really use Bluetooth headphones anyway. Supposedly, there's a way to edit the boot file to route the headphone jack to different pins but I haven't had time to mess with that yet. There might also be a way to set it so that it doesn't try to boot from the SD but I haven't had time to mess with that either. Overall, fantastic baseboard. I'd already come to terms with it not working at all when I made the purchase, so I couldn't be happier. I'll also remind everyone just in general to double check that the CM4 is fully seated in the socket before powering it on. Could be pretty bad if you don't. As always, I leave my review with the understanding that I will update this if anything changes in terms of functionality so if this is the last thing in my review, it's safe to assume that the product is functioning no better or worse than described above.

So far so good... just unboxed it and all is well so far. On initial inspection my only issue is the lack of any available mounting holes or other readily apparent mounting solutions out of box. Somehow I missed that detail when I added it to my cart. It's not a dealbreaker, but I do find it to be a rather odd choice for the design team to have made for a product that otherwise matches the cm4 footprint pretty much exactly. In the end it just means that it's not something you will likely want to use as-is - it's gonna require some creativity as well as a bit of extra planning and prep time to find a solution that best meets the needs for your intended use. Or you could opt for something from the growing list of slightly larger models if it's not something you have the desire to deal with...

If you are looking for a compact board to work with the CM4. This is it. just the basics but use able. Only drawback no mounting holes for the whole Setup, you need some clipper or just glue. But for Projects with little room there is hardly any comparison.
