It is not vegan. It's active ingredient, retynyl palmate is from animal sources. The labeling is slightly deceptive because it says that the capsules which hold the retynyl palmate are plant based. I'm sure that is good for the company's revenue flow. Read labels carefully.

Many of vitamin a brand are not effective in raising vitamin a levels. Has anyone benefited from taking this brand?

I like this brand and it also reflected great results from blood tests from my recent surgery. Other reasons I liked it: Great choice for this Vitamin A with qualities like "easy to swallow", "flavor" and "sheerness" and right IU for my needs. Like the bag instead of bottle too.

I've purchased this before, but this time the pills are cloudy. Is there a reason why?

mine werenot clear due to yellow jell coating. everything was ok. will order again soon. i worked 15 yrs in drug manufacturing. Quality control is extremely important with testing at every stage of manufacturing. if any thing was not right batch would be rejected and destroyed after more and extreme testing was done.
