I don't know how it works but it works!
I'm not 100% sure how it works but this sleepsuit works like it's name implies: magic! My baby hates to be swaddled and hated to sleep on her back as well! We had her sleeping in a sleep sack in her bouncer until she was 2 months old, because it was the only way anyone got any sleep! Our doctor told us at her two month appointment that she needed to be sleeping in a bassinet or a crib on her back because she was going to start rolling over soon, so we tried valiantly to make use of the bassinet we got from my father and we swaddled her because otherwise she woke herself up from the startle reflex. What followed was a week worse than when we first brought her home, we were running on 2 hours of sleep a night and barely able to function. In my desperation for sleep during a middle of the night feed I turned to looking up ways to get her to sleep without a swaddle in a bassinet, and I found this product. I cringed at the price tag but after researching it and reading tons of rave reviews I bit the bullet and ordered one (thank goodness for amazon's one day shipping!). The first night she slept in 3 hour intervals, I wished for longer stretches but at last I had sleep. The second night she slept 5 hours, then 3 hours, then 3 again. I was in heaven. By the 4th night she slept a glorious 6 hours before waking to eat, then straight back to sleep, I was back in bed within the hour, and she slept another 4 hour stretch. This of course is all in her bassinet and crib, no more bouncer or swing to have to get her to sleep! I of course ordered another for when this one is dirty, told my family and they've ordered us more as well! I'm in love with this sleepsuit! I've begun using it for naps during the day as well and she's finally sleeping longer than her customary 20-40 minute catnaps, now she'll take 1 1/2-3 hour naps in this. For my baby this ran a bit large, but I started using it at 10 weeks instead of 3 months as is recommended by the company, so she's barely 11lbs and it's meant for 12lbs. I recommend drying once, then turning it inside out and drying again, the little legs and sleeves tend to stay damp on the inside of mine if I only dry it once. I own a cotton and a fleece and they both seem just as easy to care for. If your baby is 2 1/2 months or older and hates being swaddled, or sleeping on their back, buy this and at least try it out for a few nights, it's worth the money for your own sanity!

Does it work
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Cannot stress enough how great this sleepsuit has been for my baby boy. He's currently 4 months and has been having issues being put to bed. He would fight me to go to bed and would literally take an 1 hour to go to sleep, even though he was VERY tired. Once I got him into this it was a whole new him. Takes maybe max 20 minutes to put him to bed now and he sleeps throughout the night with only 1 wake up around 4 or 5 am to eat and a diaper change, then right back to sleep. This has honestly been a game changer and if you're wondering if it works, it definitely does!! Only thing I will say is it is very true to size so if you want it to have more room, I'd say size up. It is soft but kinda thick material so I'd suggest putting on a thin outfit underneath so the baby has room to move and comfortable to sleep in. Overall I'd say this is a great product.

It is acutally magic. Probably made of ground up leprechauns and unicorn horns.
It is actually magic. I'm fairly certain it is made up of ground up leprechauns and unicorn horns it works so well. A friend gave us the micro fleece version of this as a gift when our daughter was first born. I looked at it, laughed, and put it in the closet. When she hit 3 months and we were trying to transition her to sleeping in the crib from sleeping in a bedside bassinet, I broke it out, put her in it, and magic happened. She slept in the suit in the bassinet for 2 nights then transitioned to the crib with no problems. She actually went from waking up with my alarm every morning at 5:30 to sleeping in until 7:30 every day. Sleeping through the night, solidly. Every. Single. Night. Holy crap. I asked my husband if I should buy a back-up suit just in case she pukes on her normal one as they are a little expensive. His comment was, "It would have to be $1,000 for me not to want another one." We have both the micro fleece and the cotton one. The micro fleece seems to be cut a little tighter but I'm not sure if that's just ours. Additionally, the cotton one that we got has nice little zipper covers and the micro fleece one that we have doesn't, but I'm not sure where my friend ordered the micro fleece one from. She seems to prefer the closer fit one (micro fleece) and sleeps longer with it than with the loose one. Both are well made. Despite it looking like she would be burning hot, we've never found her sweaty and we live in Florida. We will definitely order these until she sizes out of them and they will be our go-to gift to others for baby showers. Pure magic.

Does it's job, but couldn't use it for long!
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this sleepsuit, so if you're curious, here's my experience with it ... First of all, you will laugh so much the first few times you using this...we called it the marshmallow suit! Anyway, ... I thought it would be weighted slightly to curb baby's movements, but instead, it is lightweight, just slightly thick. So baby CAN move plenty, my son could get his fingers to his mouth, but it was much harder to keep them there (not that that matters, just as an example to explain the thickness). I was terrified of it being too warm in our hot climate, but it was not bad at all. I just put a little onesie underneath, and he never seemed overly warm. Most importantly - It DEFINITELY helped him sleep as we transitioned from the swaddle. On the downside, we only used it for a week or so, which, for the price, was pretty disappointing. By the time baby is ready to be out of a swaddle, they are probably about ready to be out of this, too. He was almost too big for it at the start, even though he was well within the listed height and weight limits. It was a little hard to get his arms in (start with the arms, then the legs!). I wish the zippers would be full length, double zippers to make diaper changes easier, as getting his legs out surely woke him up each time. It was easy to wash, but normally took two rounds through the dryer because of the thickness. I would turn it inside out for the second round to help. Luckily, we didn't have many diaper explosions while using this....I think since it prevents baby's movements, everything stays in place better :) So, overall, I think it did it's job. Will I use it with any future children? Sure, since I already have it. Would I buy it again? Probably not, unless I got it way earlier, since we didn't get to use it long and it was pricey.
