I dont use dye in my feeder.** A: Yes. We do not use any dye in either of our 2 feeders, and the hummingbirds just love eating (drinking?) from them! We have 2 and they are so pretty and easy to clean, which is very important to prevent illness in our little winged friends! We have seen over 10 birds on one feeder at a given time. **Q: is the RED glass actually red IN glass or red coating ON glass?** A: It is red coating over glass. I wouldn't know except that the coating is wearing off a bit where it scews in to the feeder. **Q: Is a replacement glass part available?** A: Can you buy replacement bottoms? The flowers have faded and is not attracting the hummers. I am bought a cheap plastic feeder so I don't have the hummers leave me entirely. **Q: Is the perch removable?** A: Let me answer in two part as the answer is YES and NO. 1. For filling the feeder YES the perch and the feeding holes component do unscrew from the jar for filling. But if you are asking if the perch can be removed, just to have it removed ... 2. NO. The bottom of the 3 pieces (the perch) needs to be screwed into the jar with the feeder holes part just being the in-between-component. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Hummingbird Feeder Maintains It's Deep Red Color *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on 10 July 2022* I have a number of different sizes and styles of these hummingbird feeders from this brand...they're awesome! I love the glass body as it makes them easy to clean! The plastic feeding-tray section is good quality and maintains its beautiful vibrant deep red color, which of course the hummers just love! Of the many styles and materials of the different feeders I've had over the years these are my favorites! I clean them every 3 or 4 days...the hotter the weather, the more often I clean them and always fill with freshly homemade nectar. I first soak them in hot soapy water first, then soak the plastic parts in pure white vinegar, then rewash and rinse till no distinguishable odor. For the glass piece, I wash them in soapy water, then soak them in bleach, rewash again and then thoroughly rinse! This has kept them free of any mold, very clean and hummer friendly!
