Insightful and easy to read
I really enjoyed this book. It felt as though Sean was an old friend guiding me through the benefits of giving up alcohol, but in a non-judgmental way.

Good book encouraging going sober
I love the idea of being sober in a drunk world , like it’s not me with the issues but the way society is . This is very inspiring and makes me feel less guilty about the years I’ve wasted being drunk

Excellent book on being sober
Highly recommend this book with gives great insight into the reasons to consider sobriety and the positive feedback loop this creates that impacts every area of your life. Sean writes in an engaging way that is easy to understand, and having just read it, I am sure I will revisit it again soon. 5 stars.

Great read
I brought this book more out of curiosity, as I was thinking of going sober, the title stood out to me. It’s a great read, lots of information I didn’t even think about when I was drinking more regularly, not too strung out, easy to get into, I read it in a day

Insightful, Reflective and Powerful!
Thank you Sean for this great book!As someone who has lived the party lifestyle, I could relate very much to your story. I am now at a point in life (28) where I have very few ‘Big Ones’… to protect my mental health. However I now want to take things further and eliminate Hangovers and Beer Fear entirely from my future!Your book has given me the insights and knowledge to delve further into sobriety! Thanks for making the book fun, interesting and a very easy read (I am not the most seasoned reader)…It was a pleasure…Jake

Very helpful truthful book
I could see so much of myself written in the paragraphs of this book. It has really opened my eyes to what I have been missing out on for the last 40 years.I am now two weeks sober and the fog is lifting and I can see another way. So glad I read this book.

This book is inspirational and filled with a high emotional intelligence based on experience
Sober on a drunk planet by Sean Alexander is a remarkable book. Shawn opens himself up to his past experiences and describes a new life. I found it very inspirational and motivating and educational as someone who is six months sober. I could not put this book down. thank you Sean for sharing.

This book has really helped me quit alcohol, it's a really good read
This was an incredible read and a lot of what the book is about is what i went through with drinking and it has really helped me get over my addiction. It really puts things into perspective from why i was drinking and how you don't need it. You will not only see life in a different way but get more out of life and enjoy it a lot more when you are not going through the hang overs and being sick. I can't wait to start book number 2. Sean Alexander is a really good writer and it was hard to put the book down.

A must-read for anyone at any age alive on this drunk planet!
The content of this book may well have been written for me and all the friends I’ve had over the years, all the places I’ve worked, in finance and F&B…as someone who recently lost her older sister to the dark side of alcohol, and who also has struggled years with alcohol misuse, I’m so glad to have found a book that genuinely speaks to me. Found this book well written, easy to read and with no wasted meandering. This book spells out the world we live in, the drinking culture, the normalizing of something so abnormal…read it and sober up with pride.

Wow…I think I finally understand
So insightful to a guy (me) who has thought about all the things mentioned in this book at one time or another, but as the author states, I just kept repeating the cycle. What really hit home with me was it’s actually not all my fault. It’s a cultural thing we are all immersed in and told is “normal.” Also amazing, is how short and to the point this is. It’s a quick read but powerful and totally on point none the less. Thank you for writing it Sean!
