Hydro Crunch Large Air Cooled Grow Light Reflector with 6" Duct & Glass Panel

My game increased exponentially with the addition of HID lighting. I know everybody is busy putting LED in their tent and that's great. I applaud anyone doing anything. I am here to tell you that air cooled is the future. If you think LEDs don't get hot, you might want to do some research. I was able to fix a temp and humidity concern using this air cooled hood. It does leak somewhat around the hinge that I was able to seal with caulk tape. Even if you spend big and get a nice ballast you will have less invested than a big LED

Went from a single 1000w HPS to dual 600w HPS in flower, allowing me to fully utilize tent space. This hood is comparable to (with better features) the more expensive, less convenient hood that is already in the tent.Very solid, the 6" outlets are pretty close to true, the catch for the glass is great for bulb access WITHOUT having to worry about moving around and setting down, and reinstalling a large piece of unprotected glass.While not "light weight" compared to a wing assembly or COB panel, the hood is as lightweight as possible given its features. It again is comparable to the more expensive hood it is next to.It is in my inline ventilation duct system (pulling or creating vacuum, instead of blowing or building pressure, to move air.) There are no leaks, the gasket seals up nicely.It was an easy "assembly," as it was already assembled. As easy as hang light fixture, install bulb, install ventilation ducting, plug in to ballast/timer, watch the lights come on.It is definitely a great value for the cost.

This is nice it has its flaws but lets start with the good.the light coverage is awesome, its easy to change bulbs, and its sturdy. Now the bad. This is not for the home grower for tents. Its really heavy, and there are so many air gaps that release hot air into your grow room its not funny. Where the lens unclips there is no gasket to make a seal therefore it will push out a lot of hot air. Enough to make a room go from 75 to 90 just overnight which defeats the purpose of the hood being aircooled. But none the less if you are like me and do not care about how something looks duct tape is your best friend. It would receive 5 stars if it was sealed or if the company sent me a gasket or if they actually tested these fixtures before they sold them but the again that probably why it was under $100. I would buy again now that i know what to expect. Not for people that have to have everything perfect

Liked it so much I bought another. When I added the duct and the vents it lowered my room to 67 degrees with ac on. This was a 5 x 5 growntent that I had previously used a reflector wing and had temps in the 100s and in the 90s with the ac on. Regardless I give it 5 stars and will likely buy more when I get more room.

Now this is a great deal and real sweet quality, this will use many MH and HPS Bulbs, or ballasts of different watts.Great spread in a 48"x48"x80" tent it is perfect!

Absolute junk ...The fans leak air no need for the scrubber with air blowing freely to enhance the aroma for all the neighbors...
