We both have shorter cuts and it was pretty easy to play with. I recommend you style your hair first, with your normal wax or other products first. Then add the color wax primarily for color. If you rub it on your hands first it's much easier to spread out and get through your hair rather than blobbing it on. The grey and gold colors are actually rather natural looking. The gold added a more copper tone to my dirty blonde almost brown hair. Looked pretty good. Grey looked a bit ashy but hopefully what I'll look like when I go grey. haha. The blue and purple are just fun -- either all over or just in streaks. If nothing else it's a bunch of fun. Mom says be sure to wash your hair before bead though. Great color and it holds style very well. Long lasting and easy to wash out, quick shampoo and it was gone. Also great clean up after application, no messy sink was a plus! Tried it on my daughter, very stiff even after we combed it a bunch trying to make it softer. Good color even on dark hair. Also it smelled pretty nice. It needs to be called glue, because its sticky and a bit on the liquid side and leaves your hair crunchy. A wax is thicker and smooth and leaves your hair feeling soft. This goes on clumpy but I used a mascara wand to apply it on individual areas of my hair. It leaves it looking a bit dull and crunchy.Its fun playing with the colors though.
